Let's speculate about Polynesian some more!

How likely do you think the Polynesian tower will be part of a new/old association?

I realized my mistake with VGF. Didn't realize RIV 2BR also sleeps 10.
You replied before my edit. :)
I thought I was going crazy when I saw someone beat me to the response but it was you with an edit.

I don't think 6 dedicated 2 bedrooms can be correct. logistically it seems odd.

Some fun occupancy numbers (not positive on room counts, but basing numbers on what I found)...

At PVB it's 360 studios and 20 bungalows. Maximum occupancy of 1960.

Poly Tower 270 keys (@aka Charles has an excellent breakdown of the rooms 6 2BR dedicated, 30 duo studios, 88 1BRs, and 138 studios and he excludes the 9th and 10th floor but it seems there are 8 rooms likely 4 GVs, but maybe 8). Assuming 8 GVs people, total occupancy for tower only is 1346.

At OKW, 230 lockoffs (studio + 1BR), 274 dedicated 2BR, and 27 GVs. I believe the maximum occupancy is 4860 people.

VGF before BPK had 47 lockoff 2BRs, 47 dedicated 2BRs, and 6 GVs. Maximum occupancy was 1012.
With BPK, I believe that's another 202 resort studios. VGF maximum occupancy with BPK addition is 2022.
Oh wow. Only 6 dedicated 2BR and the rest lock off? That definitely leans things toward new association. If they were going to absorb the hundreds of PVB studios why make so many lock offs? Very interesting..

@aka Charles used the diagrams from one floor of rooms (I forget the document Disney filed) and posted his findings here...

It is entirely possible they create more dedicated 2BRs on the high floors.

My speculation of 6 dedicated 2BR units is based on the one that is shown on the released floor plan.
It is the only 2BR on that floor that is showing as dedicated, due to it being an ADA compliant layout that made it necessary for it to be dedicated.
My deduction of the number of 6 in total is the belief that they will have one on each floor, and there are 6 floors at that part of the tower.

The layout of the rest of the tower can easily allow any of the 2BR units to be built as either dedicated or lock-off, but I think DVD will want the most flexibility for booking purposes, and that would be lock-offs.

I hope more of them are dedicated to be honest because otherwise we're just going to end up with a bunch of 1BR leftovers after people book out the studios.

But these 1 BRs should be nice if they indeed have two full bathrooms. I was disappointed at first when thinking about a small number of dedicated 2 BRs because I immediately thought of the BWV issue.

This was my thought too in reference to the BWV problem. I’m sure the accomodations will be nice but I also don’t want a whole bunch of studio walkers be the reason I can’t get a 2BR and keep my entire family together.

Does "in desperate need of cash" Disney not realize we all have exactly that burning holes in our pockets waiting for Poly 2. Let's go already!

I am curious what the “BWV problem” is?
Is there something about BWV 1BR that explains why we have been able to book 1BR BWV rooms even at 7 months (including during F&W)?

BWV doesn't have any dedicated 2BR. This means that 2BR are as difficult to get as the studios. At other resorts, studios go first, but usually the 2BR last a little bit longer.

With a 2 BR lock-off configuration, when a studio gets booked, so does the 2 BR lock-off in a sense. You need both the studio and 1 BR to be available to book a 2 BR at BWV.

See, we want Poly 2.0 for dedicated two-bedrooms and one-bedrooms during Thanksgiving week, so if it's NOT a new association and I'm fighting for all those Poly 1.0 studio folks who want to try out a big family trip over the holiday like us -- that's way too much competition for dedicated two-bedrooms.

Yeah, really hoping new association with dreaded restrictions so our beloved Riviera isn't the red-headed stepchild at WDW anymore. I don't consider VDH in the mix so much since it's DL.

Any idea when more documents are due to be filed that you super sleuths can analyze and throw us crazy stalkers a new bone to chew on? I have watched the YouTube progress videos and see glass is in now for most of the units and they're working at night sometimes it seems, based on pictures posted online anyway. The trench for the pool area is dug, and I don't see why they'd want to tackle that now when there's still a ton to be done, but what do I know. Engineer, I am not!

Point being, they seem to be hauling A** putting it together, and I'm putting on my tin foil hat with the tree clearing along Floridian Way and rerouting of parking for groups in that area. Hoping there's a dedicated bus line for Poly 2.0, at the very least, and more importantly some sort of TTC/monorail analysis to help crowd control and *maybe* someday a Skyliner extension outside SOG/Poly 2.0/TTC/somewhere walking distance? I know it's a long shot, but hoping to manifest it into existence! LOL.

I think this is why it’s such an unknown as to what the current owners, if allowed access to the tower as home resort will do for booking.

The fact that Poly studios and bungalows are pretty easy, much of the time, to get as a non owner…or last well into the home resort period…outside of key timesit means those owning PVB do seem to trading out and my guess would some are doing so for larger units.

While initial buy ins may have been at studio levels, what’s to say those owners haven’t bought more for trading?

Could be fine but for someone wanting a busy time like you, I’d not want to compete either.

The more I think about this the more I am leaning toward just adding more RIV next year and taking my chances!

I guess the same question could be asked about the new Ft Wilderness DVC project ; Will these be added to CCV or its own DVC resort ?

Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge are not the same resort and are not accessible to one another without a bus. It’ll be a new resort.

I know, the thought of adding more on at Riviera has crossed my mind, too, but I really do want some park diversification and love the tower style and location of Poly 2.0, if not the design aesthetic on the outside. I love Riviera, but even that can look very institutional when coming back on the Skyliner when the sky is grey as a backdrop.

Neither here nor there, we love the utility, size, design and layout of Riviera on the interior, so hopefully Poly 2.0 has similar styling. The added bathrooms will be awesome, but this point chart is going to be STEEP. Between the location, love for Poly, fireworks views, and new design style inside, it's going to be very pricey.

What would be the next documents to be officially filed that would give some clues on declarations, associations, possible sale timeline, etc.?

Interesting. That explains why we have had so much luck booking 1BRs but explains why we haven't been able to book 2BRs at BWV.

I was thinking along the lines of the Tree Houses being integrated with SSR. Its a nice trip from the Treehouses to Congress Park. Maybe the same distance on a Bus or Boat as is Wilderness Campground and Lodge.
