Hi Clarice!!

Glad you're back again. I enjoyed your last report and am happy to see you're doing another. You are a lucky girl...wish my parents had taken me to Disney for my 18th birthday. They've never been big travellers and rarely ever took vacations. I'm the only one in the family who got the travel bug. And luckily I'm raising two HUGE Disney fans. My oldest son cried on both our trips when we told him it was time to go home. (Although my husband has poisoned them into calling Mickey a "rat, who only wants our money." )

Really looking forward to hearing about your trip and to see if you were able to convert your parents!!!

Hi! Thanks for reading my last TR. Haha yeah I am very lucky to have such generous parents. Congrats on raising two huge Disney fans!! I hope I can do that too when I have kids someday. Wow my Dad says the same exact thing about Mickey too! It always makes me angry

Hey everyone! just a quick life update to start off. I was officially hired at Pier 1 this week! I kind of hate having to give up some of my weekends but I need money for college and everyone is really nice there so far. Speaking of jobs my mom might be getting a pretty big promotion in the next few weeks. This would mean a lot more money, and she agreed if she does she'll get me the macbook I've been wanting! (maybe this'll mean we can go to Disney more too??) So please keep your fingers crossed for her!

On to the TR update:

March 27,2011- Finally on our way to Orlando

I last left off as we were about to board the plane...

We were obviously very happy to be leaving the snow and VA!!

Mickey and I are ready to go.

My parents fell asleep pretty easily on the way down there. They were so cute I had to take a picture

I tried to fall asleep too but the excitement of being in Disney in a few hours was too much for me! I figured I could always sleep on the way home. Actually the whole theme of the week for me was pretty much Disney now, sleep later
I listened to my Disney music instead to get me in the mood

Wish my camera was clearer but here I listened to the Fantasmic show a couple times. The flight was pretty uneventful except for finding that the sandwich my dad and I were going to split for lunch had leaked grease all inside my bag! Yuck. But anyways soon enough we were descending...

Once we landed we went straight to find the ME area. On the way I tried to get a picture of the Disney store there. In addition to getting Mickey in the picture I somehow got this random lady as well lol.

We found the ME area pretty easily and got in the All Stars line. It was about 2:30 then.

My first time ever seeing a ME bus in real life!

As you can see it wasn't that crowded when we got there, but that soon changed. All of the lines started to fill up so they started bringing tons of the buses in. Well guess which line didn't move at all for about 45 minutes...yeah, ours. It seemed as though all the other lines got a new bus every 15-20 minutes or so. This was probably our longest wait of the entire trip right here!

I was glad there were TV's there in the lines showing TRON ads though. That kept me happy for awhile

Finally the All Stars got a bus! Now it was close to 3:30ish.

I quickly got a shot of our sign too as we were heading out to our bus.

I was happy we didn't get one of the Mears buses. I wanted my first time on ME to be perfect

Once we all got situated on the bus, the driver tried to talk to us but I couldn't understand a word he said due to his accent. Soon the ME video was playing and I was in heaven! I've always heard about how magical the video is here on the DIS and I was finally experiencing it for the first time. It was really funny and so cute, just what I needed to get me even more excited!

Up next: Would we ever get there?!....

You have a great TR so far. I'm so happy I found someone on here who has anti-Disney parents, well in my case parent, as well (He is the most anti of them all). It is so hard with them when I'm such a DisNerd. Yeah, I think in the next year, Disney will be banned from my house Moving on... I love your little Mickey mascot! It adds a whole new element of cute to your TR. I can't wait to hear more about your experience on the Magical Express. I've gone on it every time I've gone, even my first and I love the video. The best part about resorts further away from the entrance is they play old Mickey cartoons. Love those!

Glad to have you here, It's never too late to join! Wow I thought I was the only one on here who had an anti-Disney parent! I definitely know how it feels to have a Disney hating Dad I really hope Disney won't be banned at your house!

Thanks, I really loved carrying Mickey around. Although after the first few days he sort of got forgotten and left in the room everyday Even though we had to wait forever for ME, I loved the video, and the cartoons after!

Yeah I love the ME area now too. The crowds were pretty bad (and loud!) but getting the actual ME bus definitely made up for it

I'm raising a disney loving princess here! My parents liked to travel and we went to disney a couple of times, but there was soooo much I missed out on as a kid. I had no idea about character meals or staying on property... my husbands family never vacationed (our honeymoon was his first real vacation)! You are so lucky to get to experience allll the magic of disney so young!

Can't wait for more!

Congrats on raising a Disney loving ) I was the same way too about Disney. I had no idea about all of the character meals, staying onsite, etc. till I found the DIS last summer! Wow not vacationing at all?? I can't imagine! and yes I am very lucky to be able to experience it all so young I try to get good grades and behave well in order to thank my parents! lol Thanks for joining in!!

Hey everyone! Just letting you know I'm still here. I've had an update written and ready to go for the past 2 days but Photobucket has been down. I'm still waiting on them, although they keep pushing back the time they say they'll be up and running again I'm getting pretty frustrated here as I haven't even gotten to our first day in the parks yet!! What can you do though?

March 27, 2011

After the what seemed like the never ending trip on the ME bus, we were soon passing underneath this beauty….

The bus stopped at Coronado, then All Star Sports, then Music, then FINALLY we were at All Star Movies!!! I was beyond excited as this was my first time ever staying on site at Disney. All of the pictures I’d poured over for the last 6 months were now actually real.

After we got off the bus we went to get in the online check in line at the front desk. We waited about 10 minutes even though we were the only ones in line. Finally it was our turn, the CM that helped us was super nice and I believe her name was Dee (?). She handed us our welcome packet, and told us what building we were in……

Now I had requested at online check in that we would like to be close to transportation, and I really hoped that we wouldn’t get the Mighty Ducks building as its insanely far away from the main lobby. Well guess which building we got….if you guessed Mighty Ducks…..you’re right! I kinda freaked a little, I knew that technically the buses at ASMu were closer but I didn’t really know how close. I decided not to worry though, how bad could it be?

After we were all done I reminded my DDad to ask for my birthday button. She apologized for not seeing the birthday celebration on our reservation and then got me my button. She did an awesome job on it too!

We then went to go check out our room. It was quite a hike to the Mighty Ducks building but we eventually found it. We were Room 2834. It was in the back corner of the building and it seemed to be very quiet, so my parents were happy!

When we got to our room our luggage hadn’t arrived but there were a few surprises waiting for us.

We still do not know what this was…our best guess was some sort of dog? lol

(Notice I'm wearing a Mickey t shirt, Mickey necklace, and a Mickey watch. Yeah I'm one of those people who has Mickey everything)

After we checked out the room we decided to get a cab to the grocery store so we could pick up a few items that we’d need. Mainly this was so my parents could buy wine.

There was actually a cab waiting there out front ASM so we hopped in and were on our way to Publix. The cabbie was pretty funny too, he obviously did not like the fact that Disney charges for a lot of things. He believed that soon Mickey would start a “sunshine charge” He was quite a character.

Once we got to Publix we picked up our items we needed for the week.

My Mom and I thought this was really odd, sunflowers seeds in a baseball bat shaped container…random!

And of course we had to get the wine…Now my Dad had to get enough to last the whole week so I’ll let this picture tell you how much we had to get……

Anywho, we were done grocery shopping and we called another cab back to ASM.
Once we got back our luggage had arrived! We changed and then where would we go next...?

When I first saw that picture of that towel dog, I didn't see the face part and thought maybe it was a leftover towel thing from Christmas (because of the colors of the stickers) and that possibly it was a yule log of some sort. Your dad looks like a really fun dude!

Happy to see your Photobucket is working and now we can see some amazing photos of your trip. Don't you just love the Towel animals and Mickey Towel? I stayed in All Star Music, I wish we could've just left the Mickey shaped Towel on our bed, but of course we needed it. Phooey! I can't wait to see more pictures of ASMo to compare to ASMu.
