As far as I know you can't unlink a ticket from your ME account once it's been linked. On our trip in december my father arrived on a day ahead of us. He had a 5 day park hopper linked to his band. He also had two old tickets from. The 90s with a day left on each of them. He e changed those for New single day park hoppers. Instead of using the 5 day he never used the band to enter the park... He skipped the first day, used the single day tickets for entry Saturday and Monday..... And since we had MVMCP tickets he just met us in the park at 4 on Sunday. Once he entered the park.... We would then link the single day tickets to his MDE so we could link fastpass +.
But we've already purchased and linked our 10 day no exp park hoppers. With the new magic band/MDE jazz, can we get the AP as well and save the park tickets?
Is there any reason to not upgrade your tickets? You should be able to do this at the gate.
Nope, you can't unlink...but you can have them make the ticket you want to use as primary. I have unused non expiring ticket which is linked and has 6 days left and bought a 10 day expiring ticket....the tech rep said if they remove the non expiring ticket that it will result in canceling out those 6 days. I've check three different times with the same answer. SO they tell ME to check and make sure that the MB is using the expiring ticket and NOT the non expiring. They THINK it will be OK..
Interesting... so it is possible. I wonder if this can be done/seen on MDE?
I am having my own troubles.. with wanting FP+ and wanting to buy APs with gift cards.. which I can apparently not mix..I can only get FP + at the park, after I buy the tickets, and I cannot use more than 2 forms of payment before arriving.. (2 gift cards, and all of mine or 50$gift cards). .. honestly if it is not fixed, and Disney cannot find a magical solution, to such an easy "problem", I am just going to resort it and skip the parks. It will save me 1500$ and I will skip June's trip, which I back and forth on anyway.
I hope you get it fixed.
I am going to check back on my records from October. I have a few old tickets linked to my disney experience and an annual pass. all my admissions to the parks in October were to my annual pass. So I think you can do this.
I had to call to indicate which of my tickets I wanted to use. They still told me to check each day to see what ticket was used.
