I would like to try some new places in May & would love to know your favorites. TIA

Joyce

I would be interested in hearing their favorites also. I'm sure that I am missing out on some really good ones. :cool1:

Wow, us mods being singled out :teeth:

Signature: Jiko (well, we've only done Jiko and CG, but Jiko's our favorite restaurant overall)

Moderate: Le Cellier, Kona, Rose+Crown, Liberty Tree Tavern at lunch, Big River Grille, Chefs de France, Brown Derby (is this Signature?), Biergarten, Boma, Wolfgang downstairs

Counter Service: Sunshine Seasons, Kringla bakery, Tangierine Cafe, French bakery, the Mara, Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Express

Lounges: Tambu Lounge, Victoria Falls, Matsunoma Lounge, Territory Lounge

Hope this gives some ideas!

Don't do counter service, or lunch (except for arrival day, and that is always at the Sand Trap)

MY fav dinner places-V&A, JIko, Blue Zoo, Flying Fish, Citricos, California Grill, Artist Point, Palio, Brown derby, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Portobello YC, and Wolfgangs Fine Dining, And I guess Narcoossees.

Breakfast-Fresh, Boma, Maya Grill, Boatwrights, OLivias

Please keep in mind everyone's opinions are equal here. The moderators just try to keep things running smoothly on the boards. ;)

But FWIW some of my favorites are...

Yachtsman Steakhouse (fine dining)
Mama Melrose(casual dining)
ESPN (bar food)
Beaches & Cream (burgers)
Kona Cafe (all 3 meals)
Chef Mickeys Breakfast
Boma Breakfast

CS-
Main St Bake Shop, MK
Liberty Inn in America in Epcot
Margarita Stand in Mexico in Epcot
Pizza Planet in MGM
Food Court at All Stars

Lounges- Tambu Lounge(POLY), Marthas Vineyard Lounge (BC), and Outer Rim Lounge (CR)

I know CamColt  I've always been curious about the moderators opinions & for me it was a perfect time to ask. I'm trying Mama Melrose based on reviews you have given in the past.

So far I know have ADR's for:

CMC (have to go family favorite)
Mama Melrose
Kona dinner & breakfast
LeCellier
Spoodles dinner & breakfast

I still have to decide on 2 more. I'm having a very hard time deciding on the last nights dinner. I'm leaning toward Narcoossee's or CG. I would love to try Jiko but may need to save it for the next visit I can't seem to work it into the plans.

I'm not a mod on restaurants, but can I throw my favorites out there too? ;)

Sit-down meals
Le Cellier (great steaks, cheddar cheese soup and breadsticks make this a must do)
Kona Cafe (the sticky wings are awesome, and I love thier beef teriyaki and pulled pork sandwich)
Nine Dragons (I know a lot of people don't like this place, but it has gotten much better in recent years)
Spoodles (I've only been for breakfast--I'm a big fan of their breakfast platter)
Wolfgang Puck's Cafe (great food, nice view if you sit out side, not crowded at lunch time)

Counter service
Pecos Bill's Cafe (best condiment bar at any counter service
Earl of Sandwich (best sandwiches ever--reasonably priced sides--nice side salad for a buck)
Actually, that's it for counter service--I usually stick with the basics when I go there--chicken strips or a burger if they have a good condiment bar so I can mask how nasty the counter service burgers are

Best places to have a drink
Jellyrolls (great entertainment while you drink)
Buckets of booze at Pleasure Island (woo hoo, right Camcolt?)

LOL, Karen. I have no idea what you are talking about??? :confused3

Ok, the stand across from the Rock N Roll Beach Club in PI has some pretty good drinks, served in buckets. ;)

And I forgot about Earl of Sandwich...very yummy and a great deal.
