I just heard that WDW is planning to change Off Kilter's costumes to a hodge podge of "Canadian" people. I believe there is a cowboy, a lumberjack, a hockey player, etc. I'm hoping that there will be a flood of emails to WDW to protest this change. Maybe then they will change their minds.

I don't know if there is a better way to post this since this is the first post for me, but feel free to put it wherever it will do the most good.

This was confirmed today. Please write to Disney and tell them your feelings. This could be the only thing that works, and please notify your friends and fellow OK junkies.



Some of the "anticipated" costume changes will be really hot for the summer months, too.

All I can suggest is to write to the Disney folks and tell them why you feel that the change is wrong.



If they hear from enough people they may bury this idea. Do any of you have any other ideas?

Apparently the folks at WDW Entertainment are unaware that a whole slew of Celtic people emigrated from northern Europe to Canada and settled in Nova Scotia ("New Scotland") and other Atlantic provinces! There's a "Celtic Colours" music festival held in Nova Scotia every October: http://www.celtic-colours.com/

I hope the guys have been practicing "YMCA" - just to show the idiots in management just how ridiculous the idea is!

One positive thing is that they are changing things instead of pushing them aside. Which that would NOT be a good thing at all! I would rather see a cowboy hat wearing Randy than none at all!!

I just sent an email politely, but firmly, requesting that the kilt removal idea be thrown aside immediately. I don't know how much good it will do but I hope I added my 2-cents worth to a mass emailing from Off Kilter fans letting the powers-that-be know that the fans think the kilts should stay.

Okay, I've emailed them too. I sat and carefully constructed a rational argument about keeping bagpipes and kilts together and respectfully representing Canada.
Fingers crossed.

Has the change taken place yet and will someone post pictures if it does?
I sincerely hope it never happens.

Supposedly in about a month or so. The emails we're sending will hopefully have an impact, and they'll reconsider this unwise decision. The more emails and letters that they get, the better our chances are of keeping them kilted.
