Lets go Steelers!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you to everyone who replied to my post. :thanks: I can't believe I didn't get a single email regarding reply to this thread. I thought maybe I killed it! I'm glad I came back to re-read it and see all your remarks. I guess I was so tired of hearing people raining on my parade. And the "Pittspuke" remark after everything the Steelers overcame was really uncalled for.

After the game, I went out to Kaufmanns to get championship teeshirts and hats. The behavior of everyone out on the streets was nothing but CLASS!

It's been nothing but class here in Indy as well. We watched the game w/ COLTS[/B] fans and they were very congratulatory after the game. Sure "the guys" shouted about the calls and plays, but then they got over it and kept watching the game. There were handshakes after the game as well. I feel much safer here in Colts country while being a Steelers fan. Now, if we still lived in Los Angeles, that would be a different story. As the song goes, "I can only imagine" (in a bad way).

Have a STEELERific day!

And that post, and many others posts by Steeler fans, lacks all of that.

BTW: After the bad call most of the Steeler bench, including Cowher, was crying, whining, and basically acting the same way anybody would when a call that bad is made.

Yep, maybe they did in the past. And I admit, that shoving that picture into the ref's pocket did not show class. What I'm trying to say is that apparently Pittsburgh, after years of tough losses in playoff games, botched coin flips, dissapointing calls, some questionable, some CLEARLY wrong, has learned the hard way that you've got to shake those things off and do what you've come to do. Seattle and it's fans need to be learning it right now if they think they are going to survive in the playoff atmosphere. We know you're sad, upset that many calls (all upheld) didn't go your way. We've been there and will have it happen to us again. That's why all the "poor officiating" crying is falling on deaf ears here in the "Burgh" That's the way it is in football....like it or not.

Who knows what next year will bring. After a 15-1 season with home field advantage all through the playoffs the year before, I thought the Steelers were a lock for the playoffs this year. It didn't happen that way, they squeaked in. The difference this year was they didn't cry "coulda, woulda, shoulda" They focused on the game ahead and what they had to do.

If you think I'm lacking class for celebrating this hard earned victory. Then :wave2: Talk to the hand!!! :wave2: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: This isn't the SB debate thread....this is the cheer Steeler thread!!!

ahhh...but, I saw a show on NFL network that was called "In his own words" and was a special on Bill Cowher. It was an hour long interview of the personal side of Cowher...I only wish I had taped it! He admitted that the day after he did that, he called that referee up and personally apologized. He recognized that he was absolutely wrong and that he was not showing respect to the ref as he should have been. It takes a big man to admit when he's wrong....

That's not why the posts are classless.

Funny, I keep pinching myself. Everytime I am at the mall and see the t-shirts and Super Bowl stuff, I just keep thinking "We really won the Super Bowl" It is so awesome.

I think today it is starting to really sink in...we WON the SuperBowl!!!
I'm not taking down my front door decorations until June 1st! They look
great with the snow anyways. I just got my commemorative plaque
in the mail and downloaded some fun songs including the Polamalu Kermit song...we plan on watching the game over again...well maybe not the whole thing, but we could if we wanted to! I am just starting to relax and enjoy the win! Hope you are too....

If you want more atmosphere - at home if not at the office, check out the stuff at Giant Eagle, the Steelers place mats look really great when you get them home.

Please post if you hear of any more players that will be on talk shows - I'm
trying to watch them all. Bettis was good on Leno - DH thinks Bettis will be working on tv announcing in the future - works for me!

I saw the AP pic of Ben at the Grammy's and am surprised by his choice of outfit. Great QB yes, S.B. winner, can do any thing he wants at this point of his life, and he's cute (hottie I think is the term) too. Why was he wearing a jersey (is that what it was) with a jacket, his hair under a cap, and the baggy pants. I'm glad I didn't see his shoes. I know the guy could dress any way he wanted to, but c'mon accentuate the positives on national/international television. I think he looked better on Letterman.

Doesn't really matter any way, the man can play football. right? :thumbsup2

Cause it was the grammy's, not the oscars and anything goes. He looked alot better than some of the get-ups the other guys had on, imo!

I scrolled through other Grammy AP photos and yep, you're right. Staples center yuck! The area around the Staples Center is gang and crime infested. I should know, I'm from the L.A. subs.

I don't know, the talk to the hand comment is kinda classless.

I promised myself I would not come back here even though I am a Steelers fan, I couldn't help myself, and I see the same crap is going on.

And for the record: Every team has had to deal with bad calls, not just the Steelers, so trotting out the laundry list of all the Steelers ever had to put up with seems well kinda classless, sorta like well this is all that happened to us, what happened in the SB makes up for that. :sad2:

Did anyone know that there were several of the Steelers at Magic Kingdom last Monday? We didn't see them but heard that they were.

There were lots of Seahawks there as well.

Most people didn't see them since they spent most of their time in City Hall complaining about the CM's.

He was actually wearing Jerome's Notre Dame jersey. The players also wore them when the got off the plane in Detroit before the game. I don't think people really understand what Jerome meant to the others on the team and how much he will be missed next season. He truly was the heart of the team!!!

As for the Steelers being in the Magic Kingdom, it was Hines Ward and Jerome Bettis (as well as Jerome's parents.) The Super Bowl MVP goes to Disney World on the Monday following the Super Bowl (hence the I'm going to Disney Workld commercial right after the SB.) He gets to take a special guest and Hines chose Jerome. There are pics from the parade (or at least a link to them on this thread - several pages back.)

Well Miss Jasmine, I'm really sorry you completely misunderstood my post. It was supposed to show that it's all just part of the game....and how a great team shakes off bad calls...UGH...You know what??? I'm not going to try and explain myself again. Forget I said anything.....

Ooooh, now I get it. I saw the pics too of the green jerseys earlier...duh, me. thanks for the clarification.

Do you think the mood of the team will change since Bettis will be gone? Having a younger group/generation of players would change the mood of the team wouldn't it?

Anyone else watching the Pro Bowl today because they just can't get enough football :smooth:

I'm watching replays of the Pro Bowl on NFL network right now.

Has any one seen the new ESPN phone? OMGosh, if you are an info junkie this is the phone for you. There's even an Sport Center ring tone (its a $1.99). There's every thing on it sports related you'd want to know. You can set it for your favorite teams. There's an Olympics icon . It's like watching ESPN itself. This phone is an upgrade to their standard phones, so minutes are extra, having certain features are extra, blah blah blah...but some day, those extras will become standards (hopefully) or less expensive.

Here's a link to a feel good commercial starring the best team in the world. Click the link and scroll down. Look on the far left and click on the "I'm Going to Disney World". Seeing it makes me want to go to DW. Sorry if this is a repeat for any of you.

Well I didn't watch the ProBowl, but I just watched the end of the Colts
game, and yesterday I rewatched the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl.

The Happiness Never Ends
Steelers Super Bowl Champions!!!!

We thought we'd be able to see the Steelers while on the Wonder during our cruise. Nope, their game will not be until the day/evening we disembark.
