Let's get one thing straight.

Liberals are NOT against the troops. They are against the orders given to them from the top. We support the troops who are in a horrific position, asked to kill on a daily basis.

We support the troops, not the berks in charge.

The Charge of the Light Brigade

Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
"Forward, the Light Brigade!
"Charge for the guns!" he said:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.

"Forward, the Light Brigade!"
Was there a man dismay'd?
Not tho' the soldier knew
Someone had blunder'd:
Their's not to make reply,
Their's not to reason why,
Their's but to do and die:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.

Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell
Rode the six hundred.

Flash'd all their sabres bare,
Flash'd as they turn'd in air,
Sabring the gunners there,
Charging an army, while
All the world wonder'd:
Plunged in the battery-smoke
Right thro' the line they broke;
Cossack and Russian
Reel'd from the sabre stroke
Shatter'd and sunder'd.
Then they rode back, but not
Not the six hundred.

Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon behind them
Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
While horse and hero fell,
They that had fought so well
Came thro' the jaws of Death
Back from the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of them,
Left of six hundred.

When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All the world wondered.
Honor the charge they made,
Honor the Light Brigade,
Noble six hundred.

Yea, the libs learned that one during the Viet Nam war, so their not going to make that mistake again.

The Charge of the Light Brigade

And thanks for this...I've never read the whole thing.

Thank you...though I'd bet it's falling on deaf ears.

When you can't defend this administration's actions, the best defense is a good offense, attack your opponent.

What's sad is that people have become so polarized that it makes it difficult to do anything positive, or even have people (on either side), open their eyes to truths, people are too busy accusing each other.

Thanks for posting this, Rich.

Very true. I couldn't have said it better myself.

Thanks for taking my really long post on the "other thread" and putting what I meant into one great sentence. :) :thumbsup2

Heard this B.S. before, didn't buy it than, not going to buy it now. Lib's hate the military and everything they stand for. I only hope the day doesn't come in our country when all the lib's wake up 6' underground and wonder why they no longer have any freedom's. Today the enemy is the islamic terrorist, tomorrow who knows. If we don't come together and win this war, tomorrow won't really matter.:sad2:

Rich, entirely correct. It really and truly outrages me when someone has the nerve to even insinuate that I am un-American or don't support the troops just because I don't agree with what's happening in Iraq. I am nothing but proud to be American, proud of the men and women in the military, very proud of my family and friends who serve or have served. I was raised on a military base my entire childhood until I went off to college. To turn my back on that would be denying my own life.

Folks who say otherwise have some serious gall.

Ridiculous.

As for the sentence I highlighted, clearly in your mind, the enemy of tomorrow, if not today, is the evil liberal.

It's amazing how you can insulte a who group of people you do not know. You ask my husband how much I "hate the military and everything they stand for." You ask this army division I live upon how much I hate what they stand for yet volunteer ovedr 1,000 hours of my time a year and you can double that when they are gone. You ask a dead soldiers family how much I hate the military when I'm on their doorstep to answer the phone and direct the news media away from their door.

You need to maybe meet every so called liberal in this country before you spout off about things you don't know about and then come back and have a rational educated conversation.

And in a matter of a few posts, someone has popped on to illustrate my point perfectly.

What we need to do is start ignoring the screamers. Most of us agree on most things, or can at least see each other's points and find common ground. What we really need a war against is the talking head.

You go girl :woohoo: .

For those of you who agree with our continued presence in Iraq I have a question for you. If our troops were given orders to leave Iraq tomorrow would you be supporting them? Since you would disagree with pulling out of Iraq then you would not be supporting the troops, right?

It is a ridiculous argument to say you can't support the troops if you don't support the orders. You can disagree with the US presence in Iraq but still support the troops who are ordered to be there. Why is this so hard for so many to understand. :confused3

I've talked with to many lib's already. The story is always the same. We support the troops in front of the camera or in a public group, but in private they wouldn't help them if their lives depended on it. The military on the other hand will support all Americans at all times.

Unlike you.

That's a rather insulting assumption.

Would the liberal who doesn't care about our soldiers please stand up and provide weight to JPN4265's opinion?

Excellent point and I completely agree.:thumbsup2 You're not implying though with your title that you thought "people" on the other thread were insinuating otherwise though, are you??:confused3 Perhaps one person, but hopefully not the OP. I'm only asking for clarification because I'm realizing that there are some posters that are extreme and polarizing. By the way Rich, I don't view you in that light. I've always thought your posts were level headed and fair-minded.:)

Somehow I think you'd be one that wouldn't support ALL Americans at all times, only those of a like mind.

Pretty sad.

Oh no, totally not aimed at anyone in particular. It was actually triggered by someone over here saying that by the way many liberals talked, it looked like we didn't care about the military and I realised that I was full guilty of this, so I posted this thread to correct the image I have been projecting :upsidedow

Thanks :goodvibes I've always enjoyed your posts and it's an honour to hear you say that :)
