Let's celebrate this "babymoon" GRAND style!! COMPLETED

~May 24, 2013 – And at last, I see the light!~

We left off getting off the WDW Railroad in Frontierland. We decided to take our time walking through to Liberty Square. We stopped and looked in here:

I found an old friend that I had to take a picture with:

We also went in here:

I love everything about Frontierland! As we made it into Liberty Square, we had one thing on our mind: the Christmas store! Of course, they were out of the Baby’s 1st Christmas ornament too! But, my Sis found it online and gave it to me at my baby shower! We did end up buying a Phineus and Ferb ornament for Little Guy, Mom got this beautiful Mickey head ornament, and I bought a Lady and the Tramp ornament for Lady. The CM who checked us out was HILARIOUS! He kept telling jokes and told me that I have to bring the baby back to see him.

After the Christmas store, we went across to the gift shop by the HoP. I asked the CM in there how the 24 hour party was, and he said it was crazy madness! They had to start turning people away at 2 a.m., and people were sleeping on the sidewalks and benches everywhere. While it would’ve been cool to say we did it, I definitely did not have the energy to do that!

After the gift shop, I really needed to use the restroom. And sticking true to the theme, there are no restrooms in Liberty Square, so we headed to my new favorite bathroom:

And after that, I kept singing “And at last, I see the light” the rest of the day. Mom wanted to slap me a few times. HA!

We stopped and grabbed waters at a cart outside of Pinocchio’s before heading to a favorite ride of ours: the People Mover! It was fun just taking our time walking through the park to get there. And when we made it to Tomorrowland, there was actually a line for the People Mover! It didn’t take long though.

After that fun and relaxing trip around Tomorrowland, we decided to do an old favorite:

There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow….

You get the idea of the song. Well, we were happily singing it for only a short while. The CoP was not working well that day. Some of the dialogue in the scenes was cutting out. So, we couldn’t hear them talking, but their mouths were definitely moving! It was weird.

We were definitely ready to get out of there by the last scene! As we walked out, we decided to head over to the Poly for a snack.

It was such a beautiful day. We were hoping that it would stay that way for the night..we had a luau to go to!

And soon we were seeing:

I was just so excited to be back at the Poly again. Even though I had stayed there numerous times growing up, our honeymoon trip really placed the Poly in a special place in my heart.

Once in Captain Cook’s, I knew exactly what I wanted to eat: SUSHI! And I even talked Mom into trying some! We both had the cucumber rolls since that was safe for me to eat. It was good, but I really miss my usual rolls. That’s one thing on my list to have right after the baby is born! HA!

After our snack, we looked around the gift shops for a bit. I think this is so cute:

We saw a few things for the baby, but decided to wait. We got a text from DH that they were back at BLT and getting ready to go swim. So, we decided to head that way.

Once back at BLT, we stopped at the gift shop to pick up some packages we had sent back to the Resort. We took the bags up to the room, and then headed down to the pool. The guys were all lounging in chairs with drinks in their hands. We both asked where Little Guy was, and they pointed across the pool. The lifeguards have games set up for the kids every day at the pool. Little Guy was loving it. I decided to go over and get a few pictures.

For this game, they had to pass around a water balloon. Whoever dropped it and popped it had to get a huge water balloon popped over their head.

The poor little girl to the far right in the last picture ended up dropping the balloon on one of her turns. The CM came over and asked her if she was ready for the big balloon to be popped, and she nodded her head. But, as soon as the water gushed down on her, she started bawling! Her dad came over and the CM apologized, but the dad was real cool about it and just took his daughter back to where he was sitting.

Mom and I decided to switch it up and sit in the shade on one of the benches closer to the building.

It was a good choice because there was such a nice breeze!

After awhile, it was time to head up to the room and get ready for the Luau! This is something we do every trip together. Little Guy barely remembered the Luau from last time, so he was excited to go back as well. One thing he did remember: “the fire guy”! So, that was what he was looking forward to the most.

Haha, I always forget that Liberty Square has no restrooms. Such a great Disney detail that many people never notice.
Thankfully the wonderful Tangled bathrooms aren't too far away.

The Rapunzel bathroom is so nice. :thumbsup2

Aaaah, Polynesian! You know the word is that the waterfall is being removed. Don't know if they are creating a smaller one or not, but surely they will keep the lush greenery in that lobby. Walking in and seeing all of that is Poly's special welcome!

Justing joining in!
I have been a longtime lurker on you trip report but decided to join in!
Congrats on your bundle of joy!

Looks great. Seems like a lot of walking for you though! I'm glad you were able to just take your time and take it in as you went.

I don't think I've commented here yet, but congrats on your baby boy!! It is looking like you had a great babymoon (although I haven't read everything yet lol)

Fun update!

Okay, how did I not know about no restrooms in Liberty Square:confused3

How are you feeling my friend?

AHH! It's been ages since I've done the luau! The last time we went, our poor waitress was just a comedy of errors - she dropped everything! I think we spent more time helping her clean messes up then we did doing anything else! Poor lady... I sometimes think of her and hope she switched to a career a little better suited for her talents because waitressing was clearly not among them! :rotfl: Excited to read about your luau experience and what Little Guy thought of it now that he's at an age he can better remember! :goodvibes

They might be getting rid of the waterfall?! Did they ask my permission? No! Ha!

Loved your leisurely stroll through the MK.

Looking forward to the luau.

Thanks, it was a relaxing day.

We definitely stopped and sat down when I needed to. It was nice to just go at that pace.

Thanks! We had a great time!

They are sneaky about the no restrooms thing. Technically, the ones in CHH are in the Fantasyland part of the MK!

I'm doing well. I just literally got back from the baby doctor! I'm measuring good and his heart beat is good. He is getting bigger and starting to make me uncomfortable! My glucose test last time was fine, she was just concerned it was a little low. So, she wants me to eat more small meals throughout the day instead of 3 big ones of breakfast, lunch, and dinner,

Aw poor lady! Hopefully she is doing something else now! Ha!

Good glad to hear your doing well, aside from the discomfort that he's causing you. Wait till he starts doing full on rolls :scared1: Those are crazy and uncomfortable.

I seemed to do better with smaller meals throughout the day too. Can't believe you are able to eat three big meals a day. You have the most ideal pregnancy!

My daughter absolutely loves the pool games a the resorts. It's a great way for only children to meet other kids that are their as well :thumbsup2

It looks like you had the perfect day. I can't wait to hear about the luau!

Last time we rode COP we kept getting stuck in the room because it stopped turning so we kept getting to see the same scenes over and over again (along with my dad snoring which is crazy loud). It is a favorite of mine too! I can't wait to read about the luau! We're staying at the Poly and it seems like something I might want to try and do!

You are also seriously one of the cutest pregnant women I've ever seen. So adorable. :)

I can only imagine! He's been moving like crazy and putting himself in weird positions so my belly looks lumpy or deformed! Ha!

I bet you knew the scene by heart!

Aw thanks!

YAY.... tangled restrooms!!! (Only in Disney hahaha!!)

Haha, yes! Only in Disney does someone get excited about a bathroom!

It looks like it was a beautiful day! I have never even visited the Poly. I really need to so that I can understand "the smell" everyone talks about. Plus, it looks so pretty.

You have not been to the Poly?! You better change that!

~May 24, 2013 – Allllllloooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaa!~

We left off heading back to the room after the guys swam. We were excited because we were headed to the Luau- a family favorite! I think Little Guy was ready in record time! And before we knew it, we were on the monorail! Here’s the shirt we found him; it has Buzz Lightyear surfing!:

We got off at the TTC instead of the Poly. DH and I wanted to show them how close our room on our honeymoon was to the TTC. So, to Tahiti we headed! That walkway between the TTC and the Poly is so nice. We went to the TTC more than we did the Great Ceremonial House when we were in Tahiti. We were creepers and walked through the building out to the beach. We said hi to our balcony, haha!

Then, we walked along the walkway by the beach towards Luau Cove. This is Little Guy tempting to step onto the beach in his tennis shoes. Look at that evil face!:

We had to walk past the GCH and the main pool. It really made DH and I miss staying there. We had fun showing them and telling them everything we did around there. Eventually, we saw this:

Getting close! The Poly has some beautiful views of the MK:

We made it!

We got our lei’s and got in line to get our family picture taken (which is what is in our introduction on page 1). After getting our picture taken, we headed into the line to get in. Hi “home”!:

Maybe 5 minutes after we got in line, they started seating people. We were so excited to see where we would be. We have been on every level and have never had a bad view. We were pleased to see we were seated:

Right up front!

Our waiter was SO nice. Little Guy was excited to have his drink in this:

Last time we were at the Luau with Kristen and Chris, he had the same drink. Only that time, he thought there was beer in it! He kept telling Chris he was drinking beer. He thought he was hot stuff! Ha!

While we started eating the food they brought out, the show started!

And then, they started singing my favorite song, “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride”, which is also in ‘Lilo & Stitch’.

After more eating, the show continued. They had all the birthdays come up on stage. I’ve gone up there several times when we’ve been there in July!

Then this happened:

Helloooo guys!!

These girls are crazy good at dancing:

I can’t remember the name of this song, but I always remember the words and sing along:

And soon, Little Guy was full and relaxed:

Then, each of the dancers grabbed someone from the audience to come up and dance. One guy got REALLY into it. It was hilarious!

Little Guy loved this part:

And then…..it was time for his favorite part:

Little Guy was cheering and clapping for him the whole time.

Then, they all came out and sang their goodbye song, which I sadly know all the words to. We waved goodbye to them and headed towards the GCH.

Another great show with great food! Although, I am sad they changed the dessert. There’s no more volcano! Sad.

Once in the GCH, Little Guy had one thing on his mind: looking in the gift shops for the baby. It’s so funny how he randomly gets the idea to shop for him. He ended up finding him a Mickey rattle and bib in the shop upstairs. He also got a Perry the Platypus backpack!

Did I mention I hate my camera?!?

Of course, you know who wanted to get in the picture:

It had been a long day, so we decided to call it an early night. As we were walking across the walkway to BLT, once back at the Contemporary, we saw them setting up for s’mores. Little Guy had me check what movie they were showing down there, and it happened to be “Wreck it Ralph”! So, DH, Little Guy, and Uncle headed down to watch that. I watched Illuminations from the balcony of DH and I’s room before heading to bed. DH came in not too long after that. He said Little Guy made it halfway through the movie and was ready to head up to bed!

Love LG shirt, it's perfect for the luau. Someday I'm going to have do this. It looks like so much fun and good food.

It's so sweet the LG want to shop for the baby. He's going to be a great friend to him in the future.
