I will continue to pray for you and your family. As someone who has suffered a miscarriage and had a D&C done, I can somewhat relate to the emotions that you experienced and continue to experience. I will continue to pray for you and your family.

Thank you everybody for the support.

I have to say I am feeling much better. The results of the tests gave me some closure and helped me to be more at peace with what happened.

For one thing it was good to know there is nothing I could have done to prevent it. No matter how many times the doctor tells you it was not your fault the thought that I might have done something wrong was haunting.

Also the fact that we were able to know the sex of the baby and give him a name allowed us to properly honor him and say good bye.

My faith is keeping me strong and helping me to keep things in perspective.

In case you haven't noticed it we have a new ticker. Second year in a row I go to Disney to help me cure from a miscarriage. Not sure what to make of it but it is our happy place after all.

Joey started a new job in April and wasn't really supposed to have vacation this Summer but we really need to get away. He asked for one week unpaid and they gave it to him as long as he takes it at the very end of August.

We started playing with some ideas of places we would like to go and at some point we just said to each other: "Who are we kidding here? Let's just go back to WDW".

So we will be there from Aug. 26th to Sept. 3rd. The reservations for the hotel and the restaurants are already done and I will post them here AFTER I finish my last year's trip report.

Today (May, 12th) marks exactly one year from our trip. Now tell me, have you ever seen a TR dragging for so long?!?!?

DAY 7 - WEDNESDAY- MAY, 18TH 2011- LAST PARK DAY AND BREAKFAST AT AKERSHUS.

So we started the day early because we had reservations for an early breakfast at the only restaurant that we had already been before: Akershus!

Usually we do not like to repeat restaurants. I want to have a taste of as many restaurants as I possibly can before I will allow myself to a second round but Akershus is special. It is the place where you can see lots of princesses, eat well and for as long as we have a little princess at home ourselves I think we will keep going back.

The year before (2010) we had visited Akershus for dinner but this time we decided to try it for breakfast.

Our visit to Epcot in the beginning of the week was marked by a lot of rain so it was nice to be there on a sunny day. The rain from the beginning of the week had brought in a bit of a colder feeling to Orlando but on our last day the heat and humidity were finally back. Most people do not like the heat and humidity but I was actually craving it at that point.

It was our first time inside a park before opening time and we were very excited.

And someone was dressed up for the occasion:

On our way to the restaurant we crossed my friend A. who had some sort of training that morning (something about the segways) and we planned to meet up in the afternoon.

Then we had to do some waiting in front of the restaurant until they called our names:

And who was inside to greet us?

So the CM ushered us to our table and it was in such an odd place. It felt removed from the main dinning room and right on the middle of the way of people coming in for the pictures. We were not pleased with it so we asked to be moved. The CM was not sure if he was "allowed" to move us but he offered to go check. In no time he came back and assigned us to a new table.

In our new table Beatriz was ANXIOUSLY preparing her autograph book for the princesses:

And then... oh my... I think I see a princess coming!!!!!

And...wow... I am so excited I think I am seeing double!

Oh yeah... and we did get to eat. The food was good but I have to confess I was expecting a little more from the hot dishes. They were good but nothing to write home about. The cold buffet did not disappoint though.

The hot offerings were served family style: sausage, eggs, bacon, potatoes:

At some point during the meal they have a "princess parade" and all the kids are invited to go around the room with the four princesses smiling and waving at everybody. It was cute but we have no pictures of it. Just video.

I also have to say that unlike the dinner the year before I felt a bit rushed during the meal. I guess the breakfast is very popular and I could tell by the end they were eager to help us out so they could start the next seating. We were not having it though. Probably one of the first families to get seated and the very last one to leave.

I guess Beatriz will agree with me when I say that as an experience Akershus was once again a success.

DAY 7 -WEDNESDAY- MAY 18TH 2011- OUR SECOND TOUR AROUND THE WORLD.

So we finished our breakfast and decided just to hang out around Norway for a while waiting for the "rope drop" of the World Showcase. I also took the time to change Beatriz into some more comfortable clothes.

I never knew that Disney actually ropes the access to the other countries and at 11 am someone comes and phicially drop the rope so the mad dash towards the adult beverages can begin.

So we were ready to start our second tour around the world of the trip. The first one was a bit of a disappointment because of the heavy rain but this was shaping up to be an awesome sunny day so off we went.

At first we tried to ride Maelstron but the CM told us they were having technical problems and the ride was going to probably remain closed for the rest of the day. Bummer.

Let's move on.... well not too much since our first stop was China and we just HAD to wait for Mulan.

Such a pretty princess.

We also took the time to appreciate some of the topiaries we had missed a couple of days earlier.

The Lion King ones were extra cool:

With Pumba. She remembered the "moves" she had learned at Festival of the Lion King on our Animal Kingdom day:

One of my favorite things to do at WS is to look at the merchandise display. I feel like buying one of everything:

When Joey saw that I was about to buy myself a kaki gori he just could't believe I was really going to eat something again. How could I? We had JUST finished breakfast. That is when we had a little ugly moment. I just told him to lighten up. THIS IS A VACATION. I CAN HAVE KAKI GORI AS A BREAKFAST IF I WANT TO.

So we headed to Germany where Joey decided to take my "lighten up" advice:

Now I completely fell in love with these coo-coo clocks in the Germany souvenir store. It ended up being my single shopping regret of the trip.

I wanted so much to get one for Beatriz' big girl room and I am still not sure why I did not buy it. I guess I needed to "think about it" and thought I was going to get back there by the end of the day but never did.

There is an empty wall in Bea's room waiting for it though. Hopefully it will still be there in August.

I really enjoyed Akershus and hope return next year. I thought the food was so much better than the castle and really hope Caitlin doesn't want to go back there instead.

Okay, I figured that $9.95 was way too small for Disney! $59.99 makes WAY more sense. And I better make an eye doctor appointment.

That is exactly how the stickers are with us too!! Everywhere!! I have a bazillion pictures of us in Disney over the past few years with stickers in random locations. Then you get home and you'll find one on the bottom of your shoe or something...!

MAY 12TH 2011- DAY 1- ARRIVING AT POP CENTURYHere are some pictures of our room:

We ended up connecting the two double beds and turned them into a King Size Plus type of bed for the three of us. ​

Hi there, I'm reading your TR as I'm impatiently waiting for our stay at the Pop in October. I will be going with my 5 yr old daughter and my mom. It will be my daughter's first trip. So excited!!!

You were able to move the beds? I thought that wasn't possible.
That would be good news to me though as I would have liked to move one of the beds to the wall to avoid my daughter from falling off the bed.

Ah thank you. I really love having a little girl as I can get all my glitter/ princess groove on but I cannot help but wish I get the chance to do Disney with a little boy one day too.

Thanks Dee. My opinion is somewhat biased but I have to agree she is a cutie pie.
That day at WS definitely made up for the rainy day we had earlier on the trip. We explored it to our heart's content.

That is too bad we will miss each other.
Even though they cannot guarantee any princesses at Akershus we have always met Cinderella there. I am sure Maddy is going to love it there!

You guys are going to love Pop. We have nothing but good memories from the days we have spent there.

Yes, we were able to move the beds. We took out that little side table from the middle and stuck the two beds together.Like this the three of us ended up sleeping together in this "extra king size" bed. I am not sure how much the beds move but I don't believe you would have a problem moving the bed against the wall.
