Let the memories (of our May 2011 trip) begin! *UPDATED SEPT. 18th- LINK to NEW TR!*

I've followed yOur two previous trip reports, but I just realized you're about to go back! My family's first trip is a month away :) I'll be looking forward to reading about your trip. Beatrice makes me think of the Beezus and Ramona books. I hope you'll get them for your Bea when she's a little older ;)

Hey Jamie,
I can't believe your trip is in a month. I remember you have been planning it for quite some time. I will check your PTR.
Thanks for mentioning the books. I will make sure to check them out!

Still love your dining choices!

Marrakesh used to be a favorite of ours, but we haven't taken the kids yet. So many choices, so little time.

My family loves the ambience at Sci Fi. As you said, it is a win-win. My preference would be Cape May, but since you have never tried Sci Fi a new experience would be fun.

We have had two dinners at the Kona Cafe- 2008 and 2010.

Here are the desserts (and review) from our most recent visit.

Pineapple Upside Down Cake - with Lemongrass and Caramel Sauces

This was YUM!

Kilauea Torte - An explosion of warm liquid Chocolate inside Chocolate Cookie Volcano

I ordered this. I think it was a bit dry.

Banana-Chocolate Creme Brulee - with a chocolate spiral

I have not met a Creme Brulee at Disney that I haven't liked!

Simple make your own sundae.

We were all so full from our meal that we didn't finish any of our desserts which is very unusual.

I don't think we have ever ordered the Kona Kone.

It feels like we've been planning this trip forever! If you haven't read those books, you'll love them. :goodvibes

I can't believe you only have two weeks! Wow! Can't wait to hear about Marrakesh... I want to try it, but I don't know that I am brave enough!

I caught up with all your updates! It was great to read about your short, but packed day at Disneyland. Again, I'm sorry about the miscarriage. Hope you get a new chance soon.

We loved Kona so much last time that we plan on returning. It's nothing fancy, but Ron enjoyed his steak and we LOVED the BREAD!! Yum! I was so full (mostly on bread :rolleyes1) that I missed out on dessert. Next time I plan on skipping the entrees and just have bread and dessert. :rotfl: It's Disney, I'm allowed! :goodvibes

Have a great trip!!!

We are back!!!
