Let the Memories Begin--A Mother/Son Adventure of a Lifetime!-update 8/6-17 the end!

Glad you arrived safely!!! Love the pictures of the Boardwalk so far!!! I can't wait to read more!!!

:welcome: Hope! Glad you are here. The Boardwalk is beautiful. I have a lot more pictures to come. I was just too excited when we arrived.

:cool1: For arriving and getting settled. I love the Boardwalk area. I am glad it is one of my "homes".

Can't wait to hear what you did next.

I would love to have a contract there! We will be back at Easter and I know Tom will love it as much as Jeremy and I did. It was so nice to just walk over to Epcot at night.

MVMCP is coming up soon!!!

I'm in.Never stayed at Boardwalk but it looks beautiful:) Can't wait to read more.

:welcome: So glad you decided to join in on the fun! The Boardwalk is beautiful. You should check out that area whenever you are there. There is a lot of fun entertainment at night.

Hi! Super start - I love Boardwalk!! What a great place. :)

:welcome: So glad you are here! I too  the Boardwalk. It was lots of fun staying there. I see you will be back over the 4th of July. We have been the last two years but this year we will be staying home. :sad2: I am going to miss a lot of great disers who will be there.

Aw, I'm taking a mother/son trip this September. DS is 9, so a little younger than yours. We are staying in the same general area, but the BC Villas. I love your TR so far... keep it coming!

:welcome: Glad you are here. Ooo, the BC Villas--I am super jealous!! I have tried to get in there for several trips and it is always booked at the 7 month mark. Stormalong Bay looks like so much fun.

A mother/son trip is so much fun and full of memories. Jeremy is 9. He doesn't turn 10 until later this year. He is big for his age. My husband is super tall. You will have so much fun together! :)

Fun update. Well, except for the man who passed out and hit the deck in the plane. That seriously does not sound good. How do you get overheated sitting in a plane? Hopefully he got checked out at an ER when he arrived.

Love your view from the studio. Denny and I are staying in a studio at BWV for a few nights this summer and I can't wait to try it. It's last on my list of the east coast DVC resorts.

Can't wait to see what you guys do first? popcorn::

Yes, I wasn't sure how he got overhead either. It wasn't that hot on the plane. :confused3

Some afternoon fun and MVMCP is coming up soon!!! :santa:

Waiting for the next update and looking forward to it !

:welcome: Glad you are here. Should have another update later today! :) Trying to do several smaller ones so I can keep it going!

I am here Erika!!

I am anxious to hear all about the Boardwalk as we will be staying there instead of Beach Club in April (long story).

That must have been scary when that man passed out!!:scared1:

Looks like a great view from your room!!:cloud9:

:welcome: Glad you are here Doreen! I  the Boardwalk. We have never stayed in the Epcot resort area before and it was so nice to be able to just walk over to Epcot whenever we wanted.

I would love to stay at the Beach Club sometime. Stormalong Bay looks like lots of fun.

After checking out our gorgeous view and unpacking, an important decision was to be made---What to do next!?! I had already warned Jeremy that there would be time for swimming later so not to ask as the MVMCP was that night and I wanted to be rested for that. I debated whether or not we should get a nap but honestly, the Florida sunshine and sounds from the pool were calling our name so I threw my plan out the window and to the pool we went!

Jeremy loved this light fixture by the elevator with the hidden Mickey on it.

I originally just watched Jeremy as I really didn't want to get my hair wet.

But, he was having so much fun so I got in with him for a while so there aren't too many pool pictures this day. The slide at the Boardwalk is one of the best on property in my opinion! We had lots of fun.

On the way back to the room, we picked up a sandwich at the pool bar to share since breakfast had been hours ago in Kentucky and we were starting to get hungry. Jeremy and I split the sandwich and this would be the beginning of a big mistake for me this trip! I ate the bread with no regard that my lap band had been tightened weeks before and this was the first time to eat bread since. Bread and lap bands often times don't mix well especially when they are as tight as my band was. I was immediately sick. This went on for almost an hour which put us getting to the MK a lot later than I wanted. There was one point I wasn't sure I would even be able to go but finally started feeling better. We got dressed and hit the shops at the Boardwalk in search of Jeremy a new Disney Christmas shirt to wear.

We had no luck so we headed to the bus stop in hopes that we could find something he liked in the Mk.

100_0385.jpg

Jeremy and I were both soo excited to be back at the MK and to finally get to enjoy a party without the rain. He even let me take some window pictures of him!

The fairy godmother was getting ready to light the castle so we hurried up and watched that before we went shopping.

And a shot after we found a sweatshirt and Jeremy wanted Mickey Gingerbread Ears! You will see these ears a lot. He actually wanted to wear them which was fine by me! All of his other ears are on the closet shelf.

I asked him if he wanted to wait in line to see the Seven Dwarfs or what he wanted to do. He quickly replied that he didn't care to see the characters but wanted to ride so we headed to Fantasyland.

First up was those dreaded tea cups.

100_0411.jpg

Then on to It's a Small World.

100_0414.jpg

The party had officially started when we were headed to Frontierland. Jeremy saw the cookie and hot chocolate station.

100_0415.jpg

I took one little bite of the cookie, but no more. I didn't want to get sick again.

Up next:

Would I dare eat the cookie and get sick again?
I never want to see the bathroom by Casey's ever again!
Do you want to guess what Jeremy chooses to do next?

Oh no it is no fun to be sick at Disney.

I hope you got to feeling better. You were at a party after all.

Sorry you got sick, I know another DISer that had major issues with it on a trip, I can't even imagine how difficult the whole thing would be.

Glad you made it to the party but so sorry you got sick.

:scared1: About the Casey's bathroom. I wonder if Jeremy changed his mind about the dwarves. :confused3

What a nice mom! I know Jeremy was a happy boy, and I totally agree about the Florida sunshine and pools atmosphere - sometimes you just have to drop everything and enjoy soaking that in.

A new Christmas shirt, new Christmas ears (I like them!), and cookies and hot chocolate in Magic Kingdom - very fun and festive! :santa:

Too bad about the getting sick part. I'm glad it wasn't a virus or anything that went on for days. That could have sure messed up a trip!

Joining in!!!

Sounds like a great start to the trip! I love that Jeremy was so excited to be “puked out a clowns mouth!” DS9 is hoping to stay at BWV for his 10th birthday trip this fall! That slide has his name written all over it!

UGH! Poor Tom and the gallbladder! I may have mentioned this on your other TR but I had mine removed when DS9 was a just weeks old! It was AWFUL!!

OMG! You get all the excitement on your trips! Kids almost drowning, people passing out on planes! Yikes!!!

Isn’t Boardwalk lovely?! It’s just so pretty!! Great view too!! Woo hoo!!

Your afternoon by the pool sounds so nice and relaxing!

Ugh! I’m sorry you had such a hard time with the sandwich! That doesn’t sound fun at all! But, I’m glad you got better!!!

Oh!!! How I love that castle lights!!!!! So beautiful!

I must admit, DH and I enjoyed the cookies and hot chocolate at both our trips to MVMCP a lot!! So yummy!!

:welcome: I am so glad you are here Heather! Wow, a trip to DL! I am so excited for you. Will you do a trip report? We are tentatively planning that for 2013 and would love to hear all about your adventure.

Thanks! Not sure on a TR.

Glad you got to feeling better and could get to MK that night! Jeremy's new Christmas shirt and Ears!

The castle is so pretty! Can't wait to read more about the party! :goodvibes

Ericka - thanks so much for letting me know you had started a new trip report!!

Your studio looks fabulous - and I am so going to have to stay at the Boardwalk. My girls love slides - but I wonder what they'll think of the scary clown? ;)

I can't believe how many times we've been there at the same time - and I am so glad that we managed to finally meet this trip!

I'm so sorry you were sick!! :sad1: I'm worried about your reference to the bathroom at Casey's!
