VQ used to be able to be used anytime even when it was past the time (yes the thing says 15min). But.. and this is not guaranteed we never had issues rolling up to a vq 8 hours later than the call time. This was a flight day so we ran really late and no one asked a thing. Than a few other times an hour or so later due to food and travel time.

This is the case for Guardians but not Tron. We do not know how the VQ return time will work for Tiana so it’s a risk to miss your return time.

The window for a VQ once called is one hour, in the app.

But for Guardians in particular, cast members allow entry any time after the group has been called. Mickey will turn blue, but the CM will override and wave you in. Even Tron seems to be more relaxed than it was shortly after opening in this respect.

I have seen this multiple places , so it's an idea.
Basically we would like to get 1 VQ ride and 1 ILL fit the rides that have it.

Remy is LL and standby. It's personal choice. We like Remy and will ride twice but only if the standby line is reasonable.

Unpopular opinion I’m sure, but none of my family (4 of us) liked Remy at all when we did it in 2022. On our trip last week, we rope dropped Epcot twice from the International Gateway but neither of us (just 2 this time) wanted to do it.

It didn’t make me motion sick, and we all really like MMRR which is somewhat similar, but I just found it unpleasant.

But given that there was a 165-minute wait for it when we were there 9 days ago, clearly i’m in the minority!

Yeah , even though we know it's summer and AP for Tiana's we are just not waiting in line longer than 40 minutes for anything.

ILL or bust on those.

Fortunately money is not an issue this trip, it's more about easy acesss and battling the heat.

We have now gone over the rides and what is a must do in each park, mostly the new rides on VQ and ILL seems to be they way.

I made the outrageous statement to my family that if given the choice of a surprise ride in Tiana's or missing HM all together....I'd take HM every day.

Honestly - I would keep the lunch ADR's, but I would drop some of the dinner ones. Assuming the super high temp forecast stays the same, you are correct that the middle of the afternoon is going to be SUPER hot. And given the heat of the morning, too, you may need a break. With two TS each day, and the planned break - you aren't going to have much park touring time. MANY folks have the same approach - break at the resort in the middle of the day. Another approach is to take the hour break at lunch, and then have a touring plan that keeps you inside for the afternoon hours (this works well at MK and EP, not so much at HS or AK). OR - start your day with maybe an early TS dinner at park (3-5) and then stay to the very end.

I think the biggest thing you need to reconsider is that if you do a TS meal at 6 - how much time are you really going to have after that? And with the heat - I never want two big meals in one day.

Also - I've never bought Genie before 6:30 am and probably never will buy it after midnight. We've had too many middle of the night adventures that change our plans for the day that I wouldn't want to risk buying it and then not using it as expected (because there was a hospital trip in the middle of the night, or a vomiting person, or noisy neighbors, or a bad case of insomnia, or a bad HVAC in the room, or......)

Good advice, I am going to wait to buy G+ till morning , just before I hunt out the VQ and lighting lanes. History seems to show it rarely sells out before then.

I think VQ is the 7am must, then ILL.

Thrill Data shows usually ILL is available till 10 in the worse case, and often till after 3pm.

I think the hard part with afternoon breaks is getting the "moneys worth" from G+

Im gonna try to use it on the AM if lines are long for things we really don't care if we ride, and try to stack for the evening hours.

Little break in the heat forecast for that week right now, but that new heat dome in the west may change things for later in the week.

Thankfully , we are at Universal starting the -18th with Express pass unlimited and Hard Rock hotel.

No complaints thou, but that afternoon break may get a bit shorter.....

But forcast calls for a much wetter week. Not sure how I feel about that.....love that it empties the parks, but those wet clothes all day...

I'm watching and waiting to see how it shakes out.. I'm walking with a newly healed surgical wound and already dealing with sweat. Can't be in wet clothes all day too
