Let me get this straight (Anna/Elsa)

To the OP... Good Luck! I hope you get to meet Anna and Elsa, and with a short wait to boot! :wizard:

There really isn't a hope in well, h-e double hockey sticks, that my 4yr old is ever going to be able to meet Anna & Elsa, is there? We're new to the whole DisneyWorld thing and completely clueless about fast passes etc. Back when we went to DisneyLand 10yrs ago, we used the system for rides, not characters. We waited in line like everyone else. Is this not how things work? Omg...she's going to be so upset, this is going to ruin her trip :(

I think the correct question is a snowballs chance in h-e double hockey sticks.:lmao::lmao:

You can fast pass the meet and greet to meet them. That will make the wait shorter. If that is not an option, you can wait in stand by. That will be 60-90 minutes from what I have heard being reported. Of course they are only there for a certain amount of time so I would say do first thing.

Are you staying on property? If so, you will have the opportunity to book FP+ 60 days out. Make sure to book at the 60 days and you will be good to go. If you are off property, it looks like stand by is the only option.

Is this true 60-90 minute wait? We are going in may and fast pass all gone well try day of or rather each day but not looking good we were going to try first thing on Sunday & Monday. I can handle 60-90 minutes. I can't handle 3 hours. Is there a reliable way to check wait times?

HEY!
I will be there same time and all fp+ are taken...
I got on here yesterday to post for tips on how to snag one...and of course
the amazing disboard came through.
As soon as you can, log on and try to get FP for 1 person only....it will not allow for 2 people anymore.
Then copy your fp to your 4 year old.
Worked for us and my 4 year old! Good luck!

No one knows yet what the standby wait times will be when A&E begin at PFH. Watch the boards to see what's being reported beginning April 20th.

Also, try the Fp+ for one person strategy described by the previous poster.

We've told our daughters that they will see A&E in the parade. They are excited. If we can find a way to get FPP (so far no luck for our dates) or get there at RD with a short line, then we'll meet them too. I just haven't told them about that yet. Keep them on a need to know basis. We have found this strategy keeps disappointments to a minimum.

Good backup strategy :thumbsup2

I have tried for April 26th, and will try tomorrow for May 2nd. No luck for FP+'s yet. And I am just trying for 2! My plan is to just keep checking in each morning (or around midnight) to see if anything has changed, and if not, we might try rope drop. I have already told her that she will get to see them at the parade (my 3 year old DD is the one who really wants to see them!) and explained that we will probably not get to touch them. Even though she is just three, and is in love with all things Frozen, she still understands it. We have talked up the parade and have discussed all of the characters she WILL get to meet. That helps too.

It is sad that it might not work out for us, but there is NO WAY that I will ever let it ruin the magic that Disney will present my littlest princess and the rest of us!

Read up on FastPasses and book one for Anna/Elsa at MK.

I've read up but there are none not even for just 1. Are the waits currently really 3-5 hours or is that an exaggeration?

No exaggeration. The wait at Epcot is 3 hours within 10 minutes of park opening. 5-6 hours is normal.

I knew we wouldn't be able to see them. 3-5 hour waits and only 3 days at WDW, made for us to decide to not even try.

So we didn't tell our 3 1/2 year old they were there. We focused on the characters we could see, and didn't mention Anna and Elsa. He has no idea they were there and instead has great memories of the characters we DID get to meet.

If your child already knows they are there, set the bar low that you may or may not get to see them. Have a plan and be ready to run at rope drop if you don't have a FP.

Is it true that when they move to MK there are two rooms set up and they'll be two sets of Anna/Elsa? (I was thinking one room for FP and one for standby). Or am I making that up?

Isn't the other room for cinderella & rapunzel? That would be great ugh it's going to be a very long day. :( my 6 year old only wants to meet them and this is a last minute trip decided at 50 days out.

That is not even possible...until they figure out how to clone humans. There is only ONE Anna and ONE Elsa. Just like there is only ONE of me and you!;)

Pssssst...... I'll share if you promise to keep this between us. :ssst:

There *might* be 2 rooms on each side. :)

Still means 1 1/2 to 3 hours wait. I think people will cancel extra fp they have booked nearer the time. I have 2 different days booked incase we are ill the first day. So will cancel the second week if we see them the first. I have done the same with ETWB.

Sort of like people used to do with "extra" ADR's?

Fast passes are all gone, can't even get one for one person and we can't change the 23rd as we have lunch at the Cinderella castle that day. We're going to change our second day to April 30th so there's no EMH and run for it lol

So fast passes sometimes get released or what? How do they become available again? Oh, and thank you for all the SUPPORTIVE posts, they mean a lot!

If you use this route make sure you go back later/next day to confirm. I did this 2 days ago successfully and took screen shots because I was so excited. (It showed FP+ for 3). Today I went in to see if parades were opened up and noticed that my Elsa & Anna FP+ is now for one (me) and the other two got moved to Meet Mickey Mouse! I called the help desk they have no explanation other than that they were moved because of limited availability (even though I had them booked yesterday) so PLEASE double check. They were NOT able to revert it back either but could see that I did not book Mickey. Super frustrated so please make sure you double check later!
