I just rented a golf cart for a week with less than 3 weeks notice. Sure this might not have happened at Thanksgiving or Christmas but indeed it can be done during summer and is worth a call. I saved $200+ to boot. I've learned so much on these boards over the years and am looking forward to splurging on a golf cart for our week in a cabin. Thanks Dis.

Good for you...glad to hear. Just for the sake of discussion, who did you get it from how many actual days / nights will you have the cart for and what was your total? :teacher:

I have a question, when you rent a golf cart elsewhere (not bike barn) do they deliver it to Fort Wilderness or do you have to go pick it up? We are heading down for our very first trip in Oct and I am debating whether it's worth the cost to rent one.

you will really appreciate having a golf cart! You can take it to the Marina then get on the boat to MK or to the outpost to catch a bus for other destinations and that alone is worth it for us but we also use it to go to the meadow for Movies and smores( can't take a car) and shopping at either store or just looping. It's one of my DGD fav things!!! You can do the trip without it but then you can't explore the Fort in your car. Yes you can drive around the loops in the car but its heavily discouraged and you can't park anywhere within the Fort except at your campsite and parking lot ( 15 min. limit at the meadows store)

Hi neighbor,

To answer your question, and I can only speak for Kenny with TeeTime.... When you make your reservation, he will ask you when you are planning on arriving at the Fort and he will be there when you tell him. He will meet you in the overflow lot where he will hand over the keys and the cart. He will also call you early on your arrival day to make sure the meeting time is still good.

I have rented from him the last three times we have been at the Fort, and he has yet to dissappoint. We are also renting from him for our trip in the next two weeks.

Duane
