As to my favorite Disney film, it could be Robin Hood, or maybe Lilo and Stitch, or maybe Escape to Witch Mountain (but probably not). More research is needed.

I don't clean my running shoes because I don't want them to warp. I do clean my theme park sneakers though by using a combination of dish soap and baking soda with hot water and a scrub brush. Take out the soles, wrap them in white paper towels, and put in the sun to dry for brightest results.

I basically just wipe them off with a damp cloth if they get particularly dirty, but since I only wear them for mostly paved running, they stay a lot cleaner than a lot of my other shoes.

For light cleaning, I use Mr Clean erasers and baby wipes. Something I used to do from my old Air Jordan collecting days. If they are really gross, I will scrub them with a brush and then throw them in the wash machine. I have some shoe washing bags and shoe inserts that go into the shoe when washing them. But I hardly use the inserts.

I don't think it has ever occurred to me to clean my shoes. And I've even had some of these cereal-inspired Brooks that get a lot of compliments, but also get very dirty. Maybe I'll use some tips here to keep my last pair of them a bit whiter for longer.

I run mostly on trails so I gave up a long time ago trying to keep them clean other than wiping/ scrubbing mud off them. When I can I buy all black shoes. I am a little more worried about when I move on to my rD Brooks shoes because I know I will hate to get those dirty (none are currently in my rotation so I should at least be out of mud season by the time I need to start running in them).

I basically don’t: I figure they’ll just get dirty again, so why bother?! If they get a good coating of wet grass clippings from running the damp golf course, I’ll just let them dry and use a shoe brush to brush off the grass so I don’t track it around. If my trail shoes get particularly coated in mud, I do the same - let it dry, then knock them against a step outside and/or brush off the dried mud. None of my running shoes get use for anything but running, so I just don’t care whether they’re clean or not, tbh.

Do not put them in the washing machine—it’s bad for the shoes and the machine. The best way is to wipe off any surface dirt with a damp rag, and then use a mild soap and brush to clean the upper. I use Dawn in a cup of warm water, and then scrub with a tooth brush. Magic eraser on the mid soles. If you’re really fancy you can take the laces and insoles out to get them really clean, but I’m too lazy to do that.

The problem is I'm already 2 pairs in (Mickey and MW26) and I'm pretty sure they will get me at W&D and MW27. At some point I need to run in them or I'll have more shoes than parks.

I never did until I got the Rapunzel shoes and the toes were dirty after one day of park wear. I did a deep dive into the collecting world on Reddit and they all swear by Dawn Powerwash. Just spray on a little, use a sponge or toothbrush if there's a lot of dirt, then wipe off with a damp rag or sponge and let dry.

This, I bought the runDisney adrenalines at the first race they had them at and made them park shoes because I don’t run in stability shoes but they feel good walking, they still look brand new. My W&D pair have become my treadmill shoes, so they should last forever

And this is why I looked and said no at the last couple races, I want them but just can’t keep buying them, especially if I’m not actually using them to run in. I have a feeling they will eventually come out with a pair that I can’t refuse.

As far as cleaning goes, I don’t usually worry about it but wipe off any dirt and who knows what else with disinfectant wipes every time I pack them for a race.

I put them in the washing machine, cold temp, quick rinse.. and then dry out in the air… no problems so far…

I wait until the mud is dry, and then smack the crap out of them on my patio, making an attempt to get any dirt/stones out from inside the sneaker. As far as looking clean, I couldn’t care less what they look like. I just don’t want a stones getting stuck under my feet while I run.

SAME!!! 300-500 miles comes pretty quick with running and /or daily walking. So mine are my fancy going out shoes. Like when we were kids…we had play shoes and nice shoes. rD shoes are definitely NOT play shoes!

Sink clean! I bang them together outside to get the dry dirt off and take the insoles out and then go at it with a bit of dawn power wash or woolite and a scrub brush. I don’t bother with the dark shoes but with my monochrome light color shoes (most of the novablast colors) I do give them a clean every once in a while such as before a runDisney race when I know they’ll be in photos If I run in rain and get really dirty toes I’ll usually give them a good rinse before they dry and the dirt sets in.
