We are off to Disney in under 2 months and we are struggling with planning our trip.

We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside and have ddp qs.

Any suggestions or tips will be most welcome

Thanks

Get to the parks early, opening is best. If its EMH either get there for that or avoid that park. Make use of Fastpass. Take time to chill out in the afternoons.

Pencil out a rough plan of where you would like to be each day to make sure that you balance your parks and rest well.

I agree with the PP

Have a look at the park hours for while you are there and make a rough plan of what park on what day. You don't have to plan every moment. It just helps to have some structure to your day/week

I assume you are using Disney buses to get around. Allow yourself at least an hour to get from one point to the next. You will almost never spend that long, but the general guideline is 60 - 90 minutes and gives you plenty time to play with, rather than being late if you want to be somwhere at a certain time.

Have a look at the menus for QS locations and see if there are any you particularly like so you don't end up running around a park looking for somewhere to eat that caters for all tastes in your party

Menus can be found here : http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm

The boat from POR to DTD is beautiful. It will take about 20 minutes to get there, but it is still almost always quicker and more regular than the buses. If you stay out past 11 pm at DTD, you can then take a bus back

Your food court offers a nice variety of meals and some of the stations change over their menus from lunch to dinner to add even more variety

I am not sure from your post if this is your first trip. If I had to warn a first timer for something that surprised me on my first trip, it was the sheer size of WDW - the travelling distance as well as walking in the parks. I also always suggest if someone asks, that you accept that you can't do everything on one trip so pick your must-do's, do those and just enjoy everything you do to the full. We have been a few times and still haven't done everything - and we never leave Disney world!

Stil unsure if this is a first trip, I don't want to tell you things you already know, so maybe you can post some more info and we will all be happy to help

What is worrying you the most about the planning?

To add to what the others have said we now like to make a list of 'must dos' :thumbsup2
