Less Crowded Time for Disney?

Friend of mine is really paranoid about crowds even though his daughters' been nagging him to go the Disney for years. What is a less crowded time to go? Is our March Break really crazy in Disney? Thanks.

I honestly don't think there are really any slow times at Disney any longer. We've noticed an increase in crowds over the past few years we've been going (since 2003). We returned from a trip in January - which was supposed to be a less crowded time - yet we found that it was almost as busy as when we went in October

We've never been in March, but from what I've read here on the Dis, "spring break" at Disney is typically very busy. I believe spring break is usually mid-March to mid-April. On the Disney.com website, peak season is 2/14 - 3/29.

We were there over labour day last year and it was practically deserted come Monday. Most afternoons we were the only family in the pool (at the Boardwalk, huge resort). The only family on our ME bus etc. Early Dec is also fairly quiet.

As a general rule, any time school is out and/or it's around a holiday, WDW will be very busy; it's the only time that their kids aren't in school. When we went mid-January, we were surprised at just how many people were there. Although mid-January is supposed to be a slower time of the year, I don't think I would want it any busier. Our next trip is being planned for early December.

This link from AllEarsNet has a brief summary of attendance throughout the year: http://www.allearsnet.com/pl/attend.htm
