Didn't mean to make you cry, Mike. I know existing all to well and did the same, slept or ate. Of course there was the child rearing as well, but I did take some long naps in the afternoon. Now that I don't nap and have energy, I am finding that I just conquer the boredom by getting distracted with some other activities that are not always productive. Ok to a degree, but I think that to continue that way will just eventually lead back to the over eating and before I know it I will be back at square one. So now the focus is to conquer things head on and deal with them. Once they are dealt with, I will actually have more time to do the leisurely things that I want to do. It's funny, I know in the beginning that I said I was making a lifestyle change for myself, not just going on a diet, but at the time, I didn't really understand that my journey really was going to change so many other aspects in my life in order for me to be successful in the end. Anyone can go on a diet of sorts and lose tons, but if you don't replace the bad habits with good ones and you don't figure out the reasons (including emotional) that got you to your heaviest (and made you a person you didn't care for) then how can you be sure that you will stay at your goal when you get there?
In the beginning, I told myself that I gained weight with my pregnancies, which is very true, but then why did I keep it on after the 3rd? And why did I gain a little more? There are reasons and I am just now really starting to look at those. When I know more, I will share more.
Yesterday was alright, but part of the day, I wasn't feeling up to par, so many things didn't get accomplished. Oh well. I did however, practice puting things away when I was finished with them and am trying to get everyone else to do the same (that will take time). It felt good and I am already beginning to see a difference. Not a big one yet, since there are places in the house that have a long way to go, but maybe by the end of next week it will be much better. If I don't make things worse and keep tackling the piles and stacks then it should go quickly.
The AM snack was cheese followed by a little pasta. I wasn't feeling well so lunch was a little late. I did get my tuna wrap though and love the Helman's Light. 1/2 the cal and fat and tastes great! Skipped the PM snack due to late lunch. Supper was on my own. DH left with the little ones to run errands, DD15 was off to cheerleading practice and DD18, who knows, she was in a strange mood. So I finished off the taco dip/salad. Ate a little too much.
Then I was off to my meeting which went a little better than imagined and I learned alot about libraries and taxations. I am sure there is much more to learn. Back home, I got some things ready for my meeting tonight. Still need to work on that a bit, but the bulk is ready for the car (didn't wait til the last minute to put it together
). Also packed up the clothes I am sending my best friend while I watched the second season of Amazing Race. Much better and more productive than just sitting and eating.
Breakfast: 1 egg omelet w/cheese & onion, 1/2 slice 7 grain toast w/jelly
AM snack: cheese
Lunch: Tuna on salad
PM snack: something that involves fruit
Supper: Maybe leftovers
Goals for today:
1. Finish preparing for tonight's meeting, 1 hr maybe
2. Bills
3. 1 hr on GS to get my troops ready for the new year
4. 2 hrs on bkwk
5. 10 min to clear that copier
I think I need to take DD7 to her swimming lessons, but I am not sure. Anyway, I am going to be productive today. I really can't wait until the kids go back to school, then I can have my tv back. In the afternoon, I usually turn it up so that I can hear the soaps in my office while I work. Don't have to see them, just like to listen to the story lines. Ok off to tackle the rest of the day.
Before I forget, I got my DAR certificate in the mail yesterday! Complete with my national number, my name and my patriot's name (4th gr grandpa)! I am so happy to have accomplished that goal.
Now to get a couple more of my gr gr gr gr gr grandfather's proved and added to my name. I just love genealogy!
Everyone have a great day and keep on movin' and losin'!
