Subbing to your TR and excited to read all about your girls only trip!!! I have to comment on the cheerleading girls, especially the one with the bootie shorts! Those were her SPANKIES that go UNDER her uniform!!! I'm not sure WHAT she was thinking?? And, her mother probably wasn't with her on that trip, or maybe she was. You know how teenage girls are. But still, totally inappropriate!! You will be so glad that you didn't stay at POP. We've all read the horror stories about cheerleading week!

I love this trip report !!!! I'm sure you guys had a blast. I am right there with you with frustration with the Magical express bus system. When you get to FL, you just want to get to the parks, not standing in line or sitting on a bus !! Our last trip we got town car service, a bit of a splurge, but so worth it. We were met down at baggage, our bags came off first and we were in the car and on our way, all within 15 minutes of getting off the plane !!!

Looks like so much fun! My dh and I went to Disney in October (food and wine baby) with three other couples (sans kids). We had an absolute blast!! Can't wait to hear more!

Food and wine is such fun, we're headed back this year with Diane and Bryan for that this year, can't wait!!!

Terrific start! I would love to do a girls trip - hmm, which of my friends should I talk to? So neat that you got the upgrade, but y'all DESERVE it!! You both generate lots of good publicity for Disney with your TR's and general WDW love!

I looked down at my watch and couldn't believe the time...

I had done online check in and went over to the desk. A woman summoned me over to her. I gave her my info and after a few clicks of the mouse she says "Ohhh Happy Birthday, you have been given a complimentary upgrade to Club Level"..........WHAT!!!! I was a complete giddy school girl, I jumped up a clapped and said wooo hooo!!! She laughed and loved my excitement!!! We never win ANYTHING...the was the Disney jackpot to me!!! With my beautiful GOLD KTTW card in hand, I went up to the 7th floor and got a little breakfast and some much needed coffee, FOR FREE!

So cool that you got upgraded! Awesome for the girls trip. A little late but I am here.

Day 1 Part 2:
So when Diane and I left you we both had a busy morning of travel and a wonderful morning at the Magic Kingdom, it was time to head back to the beautiful Wilderness Lodge to check out our room. We went immediately up in the elevator (LOVED how you had to put our GOLD V.I.P card in the slot to get to the 7th floor, felt so exclusive : )
We found our room number:

When we went inside we were happy to see our luggage had arrived SCORE!
Concierge has free turn down service nightly, here were our beds ready for the night:

We even found these V.I.P robes in the closet, SO COOL!

We went out to the balcony to look at the view, not too much to write home about actually:

Mousekeeping left us a surprise on the bed:

After we had checked out the room we decided to head out to the Concierge Lounge. We had a LATE dinner reservation at Narcossee’s and we had several hours until dinner so we had time for a before dinner snack and drink.

They had QUITE the spread. My favorite area was the wine selection : )

Next to the wine they had a soup and some hot appetizers that looked yummy
The fridge was stocked with 4 different kinds of beer, juice boxes and soda. I’m not a beer drinker but the beer selection made Diane smile:

On the opposite side they had a nice spread of light snacks:

They had roll up’s with meats and cheeses, PB &J pockets, a cheese and fruit tray, veggie tray, etc.
Then they had a station with cold beverages such as fruit punch, iced tea and lemonade:

As Diane and I filled up our plates and I poured 2 glasses of wine : ) We asked the lady “can we bring this stuff back to our room?”, she said “Sure! You can bring it all back to your room!” WOOHOO!!!! (I must confess, I made two trips : ) We enjoyed some cocktails back at the room lounging:

I can’t put into words how nice it felt to be lounging in a bed at the wilderness lodge with my plate full of goodies and a glass of wine in hand, being there with my friend was a great feeling, we were doing something for ourselves (which us mothers rarely do) and it felt great!
Diane had turned the T.V. on and it was the “Stacey” Disney lady showing us the parks. It was funny, she said “sorry, this is what is always on when we come to Disney”.
After our cocktails we both showered and got ready for dinner (I even used my V.I.P robe : )
We headed down to the lobby and saw some interesting sock/footwear along the way:

It was time for Diane to get her first rub of Humphrey’s nose:

I had to have another turn too : )

Then a nice cast member strolled by and offered to take one of us together:

We have turned into Disney snobs and decided we would just take a cab over to the Grand Floridian, SO WORTH IT, it was only 6.00 in cab fair plus the tip. We hopped in the cab and were at the beautiful Grand Floridian in no time. For those of you who read my trip report last year you remember the story of the teddy bear lady in the lobby, well I HAD to see if she was there. (for those of you who didn’t a BRIEF run down, there is a lady who sits in the lobby of the Grand Floridian (she was there several times during our last trip and we asked about her) she seems very strange as she is older, and has her teddy bears on display, calls them her babies and she dresses them, etc. After a lot of inquiring we found out she has mental illness and has gotten bad after her husband passed away, she and her husband used to vacation to Disney all of the time and would give teddy bears to children).
Anyway, she WAS there, I tried to snap a photo but this lady was in the way and I didn’t want to seem obvious or rude, I think Diane got a great shot that she will post. I took one on my cell and sent it to Tim that said “look who is still here”.
We still had about an hour until dinner so we checked out the nice shops, I LOVE these purses!!!

After we checked out all the shops we strolled outside, isn’t the Grand Floridian just BEAUTIFUL!

There was a private luau party going on in the beach area, the food smelled so good and the party looked so fun, Minnie and Mickey were there (look close, you can see them in the photo):

I said to Diane “That would be a fun party to crash.” Remember this party for the next installment because there is an interesting story coming up about a family (just put that in the back of your mind for next time).
We continued to stroll through the grounds towards Narcossee’s, a golf cart full of luau dancers and Lilo and Stitch whizzed by headed to the cool

Then we arrived to our destination:

We were still about 45 minutes away from our dinner time and they didn’t give us any hope of seating us early, so we walked around trying to find a nice bench to sit on and we scored a nice one right outside the back of the restaurant looking out towards Magic Kingdom, here was our view from our bench:

We took some time to call home, I called Tim and the kids and my mom, it was nice to check in.
About 8:40 our buzzer went off and we headed inside, we were thrilled that we were seated at a table with a great window view.
I noticed right away they had the table decorated with confetti for Diane’s birthday and then they had a special birthday menu for her, which she was allowed to take with her. Here is the b-day girl with her special menu:

I ordered a bottle of wine for us to share (gotta have wine with dinner, especially at Narcossees) and we ordered our appetizers.

I ordered the lobster and crab soup, here is a pic of it:

This was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! There were HUGE chunks of crab meat in it and I ate every bite, sooooo yummy. It was at this point in our meal where a little girl sitting with her family next to us started coughing like she was going to DIE. Not a normal cough but a persistent LOUD cough where at one point Diane said “Oh my God she’s going to puke!” I looked over and she was gagging and I said “YEAHHHHHHHHHHH don’t look over there!” This persisted for almost our entire meal, it was a huge distraction and I don’t understand why the parents didn’t leave the restaurant with her, she was obviously sick. We nick named her “coughy Mc. Cogherson” and kept calling her that throughout our meal. For dinner I ordered the Surf and Turf, the restaurant was dark and my flash didn’t make the meal look too appetizing but it was YUMMY!!! It was a huge lobster tail, 2 filets,broccoli and scalloped potatoes, all out of this world!

After our delicious meal, wine and dining with Coughy Mc. Cougherson it was time for desert. They brought out Diane’s Strawberry desert with a candle in it but they didn’t sing Happy Birthday which I think Diane was fine with, here is the birthday girl with her desert:

What a MAGICAL DAY!!!! We kept saying “I can’t believe we are here” It was just an amazing day and an amazing night with amazing company. We headed back via cab and watched adult t.v. in the room for ONCE (48 hours murder mystery, LOVE that show) as we fell asleep.

I am so excited that you were able to take the time and make this trip happen! I have been on one "girls trip" to Disney, but it included daughters and cousins (Amazing fun, but not the same).

I think I will start the hinting with DH .
