Those purses are super cute. My friend was at DTD this past weekend and picked up the pink one with Minnie Mouse on it...so cute

I use that phrase all the time... like when Shaelyn is being cranky, she is Cranky McCrankerson... or she can be Sleepy McSleeperson! Hilarious!! Sorry you had to listen to that during your fine meal! It looked fabulous.. especially the desserts!

So we left off with our boat ride back to the Wilderness Lodge! Once we disembarked, we made our way up to the lodge.....I have to pause here and say that I LOVE the walkway up to the lodge from the boat, it is very mysterious and hidden and then all of the sudden WHAM there lies the lodge in all of its glory!
We walked to the elevator and put our VIP key in the 7th floor slot and off we went up to our room, #7116. When we walked in, we found this gift from mousekeeping!
We also received turndown service which was a first for me.....
After we settled in, we went to the concierge lounge and picked up some, beer, wine, and snacks! Lesley showed you a ton of pics, so I won't repeat them but here is what I chose!
I also took some pictures of our view...not the best view but fine for our short stay!
It was wonderful to snack and relax as we had a few hours until our late ressie at Narcoosees! As VIP'S we were even given robes!
Eventually, we were both ready to head over to the Grand Floridian for dinner but not before a visit to the Humphrey bear totem pole!
We browsed the gift shop at the WL briefly and I saw this shirt and thought it was cute!
We then decided it was time to head to the Grand Floridian! Being the Disney snobs that we are, Lesley and I decided to take a cab!!!! It was a short trip and well worth the small cost!
We arrived in no time at all!
These pots of gorgeous flowers were EVERYWHERE....we actually had to touch them to see if they were real because they were THAT beautiful!
Lesley posted on her update about the Teddy Bear Lady, unfortunately, I just have a picture of the back of her head and the bears but you get the idea!
We decided to spend some time browsing in the shops!
LOVED these little beauties....
These dresses were SO cute....I wouldn't be caught dead in one but I love them for everyone else!!!
Through the window of the gift shop, we could see a party going on so we ventured outside to check it out!
Some company had rented the space out and Minnie and Mickey were there! It looked like GREAT fun....as Lesley pointed out though, this wouldn't be our last thoughts of this "party" so stay tuned for that! As we began walking toward Narcoosees this golf cart stuffen with hula girls and Lilo and Stitch flew by and I yelled "oh stop" as if they would stop! HA! I quick grabbed my camera and got a shot of them as the whizzed by...
We had arrived at Narcoossees a little early for our ressie so we checked in grabbed a buzzer and sat on a bench overlooking the Magic Kingdom! We both called home to check in while we waited.....after about 45 minutes the buzzer went off and SPOKE to us saying OVER and OVER your table is now available please proceed to the check in stand! There is no way any human could walk there in the amount of time that dang buzzer gave you before it started yelling at you again to proceed to the check in stand!
Lesley and I had both eaten here last summer and LOVED it! When we were being seated, we were first brought up some stairs and I was bummed because I thought we wouldn't have a window seat, turns out it was just a cut through and sure enough we were given a window seat!

So we were seated at a lovely window table and the table was decorated with confetti and I was given a special birthday menu that I was able to keep! LOVE the Disney touches! Here I am posing with it!

Lesley had ordered a bottle of wine that was YUMMY! I ordered salad for my appetizer.....
This is when I became concerned that we might contract the plague.....There was a little girl about 3-4 years old directly to our side and she was COUGHING...well, hacking up a lung is actually a more appropriate description! Seriously, it was VERY distracting...all the adults in her party were just covering her mouth with their hands....GROSS. I felt so bad for this little girl or Coughy Mc Cougherson as Lesley and I renamed her. She was very well behaved, she just had this AWFUL cough. She was GAGGING and almost puked a couple of times! The worst part was they had some Mickey confetti on their table and the little girl was LICKING it and sticking it on her grandmothers cheeks....all together now...EWWWWW!
Anyway, we managed to distract ourselves and eat our wonderful meals!
I had steak and au gratin potatoes, it was DELICIOUS!
I ordered strawbeey shortcake for dessert and it came out with a nice birthday presentation....
Lesley and I were FULL! We finished dessert and made our way back to the main building! It was a beautiful night. We were both so happy to be at WDW and to have such amazing weather....we were definitely happy and content!
We got a taxi back to the WL and along the way we were stopped and watched as literally HUNDREDS of busses passed in front of us! We were DYING laughing though because there were 2 Disney security CM's posted in front of us (there were 8-10 in all) the all had the lightsaber looking devices and they were flashing and using them to direct traffic...the guy in front of us was VERY serious at one point he came over to the taxi driver and said something like "I'm sorry for the delay but we have 600 busses to move through here" all the while standing very fierce like with his forceful lightsaber! TOO FUNNY! It turns out it was ALL the Grad night seniors heading to the Magic Kingdom for their special party!
That was the end of our first day at WDW...it was a GREAT day!!!

I have never posted, always a lurker, but now I have to! This trip is a dream of a lot of us mom's... so thanks for sharing the details.
I have followed the Tim/Leslie TR's and one of Diane's. Always so much fun.
I am so excited that you were able to take the time and make this trip happen! I have been on one "girls trip" to Disney, but it included daughters and cousins (Amazing fun, but not the same).
I think I will start the hinting with DH.

The spread for concierge was GREAT there were many different "spreads" throughout the day! Narcoossees is AMAZING! Yay for your friend on the minnie purse, they are SO cute!

What a fabulous first day you both had! So all those high school seniors over at Magic Kingdom... don't you know that was some fun.
So do you think it was Diane's birthday that got you the upgrade? We are going for mine in July, I would just faint if we got some pixie dust like that! That spread looked divine!
Looking forward for your next update, I would love a girls trip sometime...

Coughy McCougherson. No matter how nice the restaurant, in disney there will always be kiddies there! It can be a little rude when people decide that even though their child is sick, they are sticking to their ADR damnit! Not only was it a pain for them (I'm sure) but they forget how it can distract others from enjoying their meal! Oh well, looks like you guys had a great time anyways!
