lesbians need not apply

why would it be necessary?

Not in particular to Disney resorts, but many mayors now 'sell' their cities as gay friendly.

The Bellagio is advertised as not family friendy, that's where I
stay, course, they don't mean family like we gays mean 'family.' :lmao:

why would it be necessary?

I have a strange feeling that the poster included that because she figured all of us "homophobes" would run screaming if we thought Disney was allowing gay families there. A blatant ploy to get shorter lines on Space Mountain.

Disney has been a gay friendly company for a long time-I'm not sure, but I think they allow same sex partner benefits.

I'm getting lost. I need to re-read this entire thread and figure out who is arguing for what now. I'll get back to you later. By that time, you'll probably be on page 100!

Or we could be locked so we should keep the thread "friendly." ;)

:groom:

are you saying that family pictures and wedding rings exist only for homosexuals?

if you read ALL of my posts, i said the work place isn't where sexuality should be discussed. i know plenty of homosexuals who display family photos and who EVEN wear wedding rings.

I think you miss my point.

I don't care what you have in your office.

Yes I think that showing off baby pictures you are declarring your HETEROSEXUALITY. I do. Sorry but pictures with mom dad and baby that is what you are doing. Likewise pictures with baby mom and mom also send a message of homosexuality. I don't care! I encourage personality with my employees. I have pictures of my nephews on my desk and a painting of Yoda on my wall.

My point is that straight people tell us everyday that they are straight, why can't people that are gay?

if we only read the words written, and not INTO the words written, we will understand what is being said.

That, to me, is wherin the confusion lies. Are we talking about discussing last night's rendezvous with all the steamy details? In that case, you're right. That should not be allowed no matter your sexual orientation. But, are we talking about discussing the fact that an individual is gay. As in talking about the date they had with their partner? In that case, there is nothing wrong with discussing their sexuality.

The Gay Agenda!!

Can't do that in the military, against DADT.

Hell, that's the assumptive premise.

When gays do it, they're "flaunting."

i was saying that, what i THINK master mason was saying was that the law provides for a man to marry a woman...we're all either men or women, so technically we have the same rights...any man can marry any woman and vice versa.

PRACTICAL application of that law doesn't correspond to all men or all women, because some men and women are homosexual, so the practical application of the law is where the inequality exists. technically-speaking all men's rights are identical (a man can marry a woman), but practically-speaking, some men want to marry a man.

Not really any different than how I would look at a heterosexual relationship.

okay, so the question was is the sexual preference the only difference between homosexuals and heterosexuals. i said yes. i am not aware of any other differences.

The Gay Agenda!!

Ah ha! Now the truth is out!!! :lmao:

Disney and other companies are finding it profitable to be gay friendly-gay people spend money and a LOT of it.. Same goes for cities-I live pretty close to Orlando and gay days brings a good amount of money to the hotels.

I know Christians who try and not patronize companies who support gay rights, but it goes against my basic fondness for capitalism. A business should be free to do what it needs to do to maximize profits.

Gender ain't binary, for instance, meet T in the LGBT. :upsidedow

It would depend upon the intention of the person who hung the flag and the type of office it was in. It could be hung by a gay person's mother, brother, sister, friend -- anybody who sympathized with the cause.

maybe, but they might have a pflag sign instead.

this flag took up most of the floor-to-ceiling glass wall of an office, in a huge corporation, in the main hallway. because i became friends with this person, i know the purpose. it was the purpose she intended.

Lots of those gays are DINKS! :lmao:

 Didn't mean to spill the beans! :p

I was just thinking, you know, if sex was all it was about....well, than a few of my happily married heterosexual friends from college are actually lesbians in disguise! :rotfl:

OMG. I think we know the same people. :upsidedow

okay, so the question was is the sexual preference the only difference between homosexuals and heterosexuals. i said yes. i am not aware of any other differences.

i think people say that it is more about love than sex, that is what people mean. Suggesting the reason i date women is only because I like sex is like saying a straight man chose his wife because he was choosing the optimal sexual partner.

I think that saying the difference between homosexuals and heterosexuals is a difference their attraction preferences, not just sexual preferences. it not only sounds nicer, but is probly more accurate.

Just to confuse things, more and more of us out there refuse to accept labels, either. I date women, I have dated men, I will probly never date men again, but I do not call myself a lesbian. I date who I am attracted to, so when I fight for things like marriage rights, I don't call it "gay marriage" I call it "marriage equality."

I am going to marry my current gf (just got a ring!), and i am going to wear my ring to work and have a picture on my desk and when she is pregnant (which is our current plan) I am going to have pictures of the baby when it is born... I am going to live a perfectly normal life, raise kids, take out the trash, argue about who does dishes, and fight over control of the remote. I don't see what the big deal is??

I do not "flaunt" anything, but I do hold hands with my gf when we are in public. I held hands with my bf's as well... I guess there is just no pleasing some people. I also get yelled at for being too young to use a cane or wheelchair, and to get out of the disabled parking spots. So i guess there are rude, stupid, insensitive, or ignorant people out there no matter what minority (or two) you fit in to.

People should just live their lives in whatever manner they deem best and leave me to live mine!
