I read on Mousesavers a couple of months ago Disney was trying out a trial "length of stay stroller rental" and was wondering if anyone tried this and if they have extended or discontinued it. Anyone?

When we were at WDW in August you could do multi day rentals up to 5 days but there is no price discount. We didn't need a stroller but I asked for a friend. While you don't save any money I guess there is an advantage of not having to wait in the line - you simply present your receipt each time and pick up the stroller.

We have always rented our strollers from A Baby's Best Friend ( www.abbf.com ) in Orlando. Their equipment is always top-shelf, clean, much more comfortable than the park strollers, and they deliver right to our resort. I have been very happy about not having to wait in one more line at the parks, and the stroller is with me all the time. . . even when we are not at the parks. That's what I call the real 'length of stay' rental.

Hope this helps.

I've read conflicting reports...here's a link with a several replies regarding this issue: Length-of-Stay Stroller Rentals

Here's an example post:

I got this info from another thread--

"There is NO discount--a five day rental costs what five days would normally cost

you get a ticket (which you HAVE to keep so make sure you don't lose it during the days) and you show them the ticket when you need the rental (does NOT have to be consecutive days)

you don't have to wait in line for the strollers if you have a ticket

recently they've been giving people a free coupon for a one day rental of Pal Mickey with the five day stroller rental

For myself, I'm pretty bummed about the entire thing--I'll be forking over $120 for 8 day double stroller rental, but regular strollers won't fit my children's size and Disney's supposed to be great for room."

"We just got back. Some of the information above is not entirely true.

We rented a double for 5 days. Normally we would have paid $15/day or $75. We paid $68 and got $5 back over the week ($1 deposit back each day), so our total cost was $63. According to the receipt we gpt a 10% discount for doing a multi-day rental. Not sure the minimum number of days before the discount kicks in.

You do have to keep your ticket; the park punches it each day you use it. You can hop from park to park in the same day and pick up another stroller at no additional cost. Also, you do not have to use it consecutive days.

You do not have to wait in the rental line if you have a multi-day rental. You only have to go to the pick up area. We had no problem with this EXCEPT Animal Kingdom. They did not seem to be well organized for folks picking up without going through the rental line first, but it worked out.

We did not get a gift certificate for a free days rental for Pal Mickey, but we may have missed that particular promotion.

Overall, I highly recommend the multi-day rental, but try to purchase it at a park other than MK (we went to MGM the first day, so that is where we purchased ours). MK at opening is a zoo, and it was very nice to by-pass rental, and go straight to stroller express!"

I second renting something from A baby's best friend Sometimes the walk from the resort to the bus or bus to park enterance is a long one for tired littleones....
A single from them is 45 for a week and the double is 65...no lines, no reciept to loose....

I was going to post an answer, but since beattyfamily copied my original post from another thread, I guess I don't have to! :teeth:

And originally it was posted as a trial during Aug, but when I was there the last week of Aug, I got the impression from CMs that it was a permanent thing. I don't know for sure though.
