Lenght of 1st trip?

Hey everyone, I was wondering how long you would suggest someones first trip to WDW to be? I ask because I am triing to talk my boss in to taking his wife and daughter to WDW for their 1st trip.None of them have ever been, and it's just about all I think about at work. Seeing how it is there 1st trip I would suggest going in a off peak time like early Dec. or early Jan. I was thinking 6 or 7 days. This would give them a taste for the parks(and the Magic ), but wouldn't seem like a overabundance(?) of money spent. I have already told him that it's not cheap, but there are ways to make it affordable. One being, becoming a member of the DIS and also searching Allears and Mousesavers. So how long do you feel a first stay should be.

I've definately learned that it takes a few trips to realize how many days a group should go. Me and my fiances first trip was only 5 days and we've increased each time. This trip which is 20 days away!!!! is 11 days long. A big factor for us is what we wanted to do but also wanted rest days to just shoot the breeze and relax.

I would think 7 days at that time of year would be good. Also they will be having the Christmas Party and all the decorations up. 1 day for each park and the other 3 for revists or other things

Our very first trip was 11 wonderful nights. Honestly I say the longer the better especially for the first time. We were able to tour at a little bit more relaxed pace which is hard when it is your first time and you are soooo excited to see everything (you won't though). We stayed at POFQ and bought AP's and got an AP rate on our room.

I would say the longer the better, but a week at the very least.
