Len,
I have purchased the Unoffical Guide (again!) and note with great interest the new day-by-day crowd level calendar in the 2005 edition.
I am interested in the rigour and reliability of the methodology underlying it. The guide itself is silent on this. I am not concerned with the "best/worst parks" part, but just the ranking of crowd levels from 1-10.
Is it simply an extension of the more basic "annual attendance patterns" graph, i.e. a simple extrapolation, or does it reflect detailed historical data based on day by day or week by week attendance measurements of some form?
What can you tell us about how these measures were developed?
How much confidence should we place in these numbers? Clearly the future cannot be predicted with much certainty, but how accurately would these crowd rankings reflect actual day by day or week by week attendance changes in 2003, for example ?
Thanks so much for your participation on these boards!
Kevin
