Does anyone know how I could find out if there is food dye (yellow #5 or #6) in the lemonade that is at the drink station?

Either ahead of time or once on board check with DCL. If they can't tell you at the reservation number once on board they should be able to for sure.

However, since this is a fountain type of lemonade, not just fresh squeezed lemon juice, water and sugar I would bet on it. To me it tasted very much like the Minute Maid bottled lemonade. And since that is a Coke product it is a pretty safe bet that this is what they are using since the rest of their soft drinks are Coke products.

I think the lemonaid at the drink station is Minutemaid. I'm looking at my photo of the drink station now, and the OJ and Lemonaid dispenser has a Minutemaid sign on it.

Thanks for your help! I guess my dd will be stuck drinking just water between meals, but at least I know in advance.

Ingredients:

Syrup, Minute Maid® Lemonade Fountain
High fructose corn syrup and/or sucrose, water, citric acid, sodium citrate, potassium benzoate (to protect taste), modified food starch, glycerol ester of wood rosin, natural and artificial flavors, brominated vegetable oil, Yellow 5.

Wow, Horace! An ingredient list! Can't ask for more than that!! Thanks so much!!!

How about the juices? although I haven't been on a cruise yet so i don't know firshand-haven't I read that there is juice available ? what kind of juice? apple? I would expect that if it is 100% juice, it wouldn't have any food color in it?

You could also bring some drinks of your own on the cruise- pack them in your carry on- keep them cold in the room cooler?

Me....I am happy drinking water all of the time, but I can understand that some people need "flavor"

No lemon?

Nope - scary, isn't it? I always find it a little depressing when I'm getting Hi-C lemonade or fruit punch and notice the label on the soda fountain that says "0% Fruit Juice". I might as well have a Coke ;)

For those who like flavors, consider making fresh iced tea out of the flavored teas. I especially recommend the black currant. I absolutely cannot stand iced tea out of a tap, and unfortunately that's what they serve on the ship. So I brew my own, put it over ice, and voila! They are great about making it for me in the diningrooms, too.
