I you like him in the sitcom check out Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. He plays himself in that movie and it's quite close to the sitcom character.

Now is Neil like the character on the sitcom or was he not really playing himself in the movie?

My DH and I love that show. We had seen him in Harold and Kumar and my DH thought he was great so when this show was announced I was excited for Allyson Hannigan (huge BTVS fan here LOL) and he was exicted for Neil.

It is one of the few shows we watch the night it is actually on. We Tivo everything so we are a few days or months behind on most shows. LOL but we watch this every Monday night about 9ish so we can still skip the commercials.

I had never heard of "How I met your Mother" until last week. I came home late, and my DH who NEVER watches TV tells me he just watched the funniest show. Coming from him, it must be funny.

So last night we had just got on the road to go to dinner and DH suddenly feaks out. "Oh no! "How I Met Your Mother" is on!!" We actually had to turn around so he could tape 'his' show. Never have I seen him like this.

Last night was the first time I saw it, and yes it was pretty funny. Neil Patrick Harris especially.

Not to start. He was never a huge Willow fan but he loves her in this.

I agree I think we could have the beginnings of the next Friends. As long as they don't move it to thursday I'm good. On Thursdays I'm already using my VCR and the Tivo. I can't take another show.

And the beauty is they can wrap it up whenever they want. I'll be sad if it doesn't last beyond this season, but at least it doesn't have to be left hanging like so many other shows have when cancelled.
