I just tried a new to me technique. It is called lemon juice burning. You tare the edges of your paper and put lemon juice on them. Direct your heat gun on them. They turn brown, almost as if you had taken a match to them. Kewl
That reminds me of when we were kids and we would make treasure maps! We would draw the map with lots of skulls and bones on it and then rip the edges and wrinkle it up then spray with lemon juice and pop in the oven! It would turn all brown and old looking! Who knew those days I was being prepped to scrap! LOL!
Spinning, That is too funny. Now that you mention it we used to use lemon juice as invisible ink to write secret messages. For the life of me I can't remember what we did so we could read it.
I responded earlier to this and I totally forgot about the invisible ink!! It really is the same process, we used to hold it over a lightbulb to make the words appear, but even then, someone would burn a hole into the paper, oh the memories.
