Legos...Sale?

I don't buy legos but I have seen folks on here talking about using the 40% off one item at Borders for them.

I don't know what that particular set sells for usually, but $59 does not seem like a great deal to me.

Legos do go on sale. I've gotten some decent deals at TRU, at holiday time.

I have 3 boys, so we buy Legos fairly often. The city corner is a great set, my boys enjoy playing with the bus especially. If you have a Borders near you, the 40 % off coupon is probably the best deal. Toys R Us sometimes has them on sale or offers, buy one get one 50 % off. The regular price is the same as wal-mart.

kohls has a small selection. they do have the city corner

if you wait for a 30 % off code, the price will be around $50

I just got my kids the Lego Advent Calendar at Borders. I almost bought one of the new Harry Potter Lego Sets, but I decided I should buy the Calendar first. Basically you need to join their rewards program- free, then if you print the coupons off of the computer, they give you 40% off of retail price. Then, if you are planning on doing this a few times, like I am, you can invest in the uprgaded membership which is $20 but gives you an extra 10% off- which on the Harry Potter set was going to be about $6. On top of that, I just got an email that if you upgrade to the better membership right now, thay will give you $10 in rewards bucks after Christmas. Also remember that these discounts are not just good on Legos but most of the store. They also have crafty things and Playmobile and all kinds of stuff besides books.

I'm sorry to go on and on, I am just really excited to find a discount.:goodvibes

Just want to add if your child is asking for one of the more popular sets especially a new one or Star Wars then don't wait to long waiting for a sale, they do sell out of them! Even on the Legos site they will sellout and be back ordered until after Christmas.

Also some of the sets don't go on sale at places like Toys R us, like often the Star Wars sets are not included in the sale.

I just ordered one of the Star Wars sets from Walmart on line because it was $7 cheaper on line than in the store and they have free to store delivery. It takes them a long time to deliver it to the store so plan accordingly. the set was $39 in store and $32 on line. so check before buying especially this early.
I have also found a few sets at Amazon at 25% off right now.

Legos are on sale this week at toys r us for 25% off - just bought some this morning.

My son loves Legos and I constantly use the Borders 40% coupon. It has been the best deal I can find usually.
