So I looked this up ... I think and i found United Express flights to and from LA to Carlsbad? doe this sound correct?

ok find what I needed. 621 per adult. holy moly.

...we did DLR and LL last year and did Disney first and we all found LL very anti-climactic after disney. We flew into LAX did disney then drove to Carlsbad for LL and Sea World then flew out of San Diego home.

We stayed at the West Inn and Suites in Carlsbad

Lovely Inn and the rooms were huge! We had a room with two, two king beds and a double pull out. Would highly reccomned this hotel.

When we went our kids wer 6, 8, 1nd 10 Lego likers but not lovers
