LegoLand tickets

My kids get LEGO magazine every month or two, and there are always coupons in there for a free kid's admission when you buy an adult admission. I looked at these more carefully last week, and it says something about when walk-up admissions are available, or something like that. I'm not quite sure what that means...does the park get *that* busy, that we might not be able to use those coupons? Anyone else used the coupons and had a problem? Just want to know if I should be buying LegoLand tickets ahead of time at Costco or something beforehand, or if I can count on being able to use these coupons...thanks!

I don't get the impression they are ever that busy. If I understand correctly, walk up price is $89 a ticket. So if you and a child pay $89 to get in that is $44.50 a piece. Costco is doing a deal for that ticket price now on their website. I chose to just buy the tickets through costco and be done with it. Now if I'm misunderstanding and the walk up price is lower, than obviously you can get a better deal. But based on what I read on the website that seems to be the ticket price.

I would think that their location would make it a less busy park, since it's not all that close at all to Disney property, and so that was my impression as well, but because I've never been there, I don't want to get there and not be able to use the coupon...I will have to investigate a bit more and re-read the fine print, because if that's the same deal I can get at Costco, I'll just get mine from there too, and have them already in hand and not stress about it...thanks!!

We are going to Disney for six days. We bought a 4 day park hopper, and I'm debating doing a Legoland day on our Disney off days. We would have to rent a car though, it's not close.

I'm not buying tickets in advance, in case we don't go. Also, we plan to use a military discount at the gate if we do. I will still look online for coupons just in case, but I'm not buying Lego tickets in advance.

We are going for 8 days, with a 6 day hopper + water park fun and more, and if we're going to WDW, we're going to LegoLand...that's not an option, to not go if we are there...my oldest DS is HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE into Legos, to the point that I took him to a "LEGO Brickfest" event just last week...but we drive everywhere, so it's no biggie... ;)
