Legoland and Pricing

I just tried this but it didn't work. I put two tickets in my cart, applied the code, and there was no discount shown. Any suggestions?

I think I have a couple of "buy an adult ticket, get a kid ticket free" coupons at home that I'm not going to use (expire 12/31/11). They came on the backs of the packages from a Lego make and Take event that I took DD to this weekend. I can get you the codes when I get home tonight, if you're interested. (I'm at work right now.)

PM me if you want them - It'll remind me after I get home tonight.

Exactly. I really want to do a trip over to Universal for a day or two as well but price wise it is crazy. Disney gets me there on the ME so I do not have a car. I have DDP so I really don’t want to eat off site and extra days cost next to nothing. It is pure genius.

I have done three trips and not made it over to Universal just because I would need to rent a car, buy tickets and pay for parking. I could get mears - but I hear it is not worth the effort.

In the end I just stay at Disney, but with Lego land, Universal and NASA I really need to get offsite for a few days, but it is just so inconvenient.

We just got back yesterday.

We drove, left on 10/4, arrived in Orlando on 10/5. Checked into the Hard Rock at Universal and spent 10/6 (with front of the line access to everything, pretty much, except Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey) at IOA.

FYI: Worth every penny.

We then checked into our villa at AKL on the night of 10/6, and did the Disney part of our trip til 10/15.

Also worth every penny.

We will be doing a Legoland non-Disney day on our upcoming trip. DS is 7 and a huge Lego fan. Dare I even say it? He's actually more excited to go to Legoland than WDW.:scared1:

ETA: thanks for the code! Worked like a charm and now we're all set!

There is a discount that allows you to buy one adult ticket and get one free. Go to legoland.com/pepsi and use the discount code 11090601. The tickets do not expire until May 31, 2012. If you need two adult and two child tickets you have to do it in two transactions though. You print the tickets out.

Thank you for this!

I'm just glad we did Legoland in California a couple years ago with 3-month passes through Costco. They were only $42.99 for the kids and $51.99 for the adults, and we actually went a 3-4 days, two separate times. On the first trip, it was in conjunction with a So. Cal. CityPass (and we updated the DL passes to APs). On the second trip, we went to Legoland on some of the Disneyland AP blockout days. Those were some great, affordable trips.

There's probably something similar to CityPass in Orlando that I'm sure would make a good non-Disney trip. Maybe an Orlando FlexTicket (Aquatica, Universal, SeaWorld, Web 'n Wild, and [with Plus] Busch Gardens) or something like that would work good. Doesn't include Legoland, but I wouldn't be surprised to see something that does at some point.

I tried this, but I can't find where to put the code in???

Please help...

thanks

Does anyone have ticketsatwork.com?

I have that through my work and an adult admission is only $55 and child is $47 through the website. They are e tickets though; not sure if that makes a difference.

This thread is more a discussion of non-Disney Orlando parks than it is about WDW, so I've moved it to the Orlando Hotels and Attractions board. :)

You just saved me 200 bucks! I was able to buy 2 adult tickets and get 3 children's tickets free and do it all with just one transaction.

THANKS!!

I just purchased 2 adult tix and 2 children tix with this code - it still works! Just make sure that you have both an adult and a child tix in your cart. It allowed me to B1G1 for both my children tix - so I only paid for the adult tix plus additional $10 fee. (tax? processing? - not sure right now... but one of those!)

We were planning on Legoland FL next year but we have scratched that off the list. My 11 DS is a big Lego fan but I have already read reports that the park is fun for 7 & under. I was told not to get too excited about it.

I thought my roller coaster loving DS 11 would be bored with Legoland, but he had fun. There are no big roller coasters. All of the rides that are there are smaller. DS loved the jousting horses, the little roller coasters, hey, even the lego driving school (so proud of his Lego driving license he was!). He had fun in the Lego Imagination Center building and testing lego cars.

Grounds are beautiful and pleasant to walk around.

They claim the ideal ages for this park are up to 12.

I too thought $75 was too steep for a day ticket considering the competition in the area.

Traveling time - it took us about 45 minutes from Emerald Island to Legoland.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the little review, Kay! So, I'm gathering that 1 day was plenty of time there, am I right?

And on the discount ticket topic: if you want to use the shuttle service from Orlando you can get it for $5 a piece right now: http://florida.legoland.com/en/buy_tickets/shuttle/ I was able to get the $5 each for our date in April.

We were there from half an hour past opening and left just before closing. We got to do everything in one day (including watching the water ski show), but there was not much in the way of lines for the rides (which were not at full capacity e.g. only 1 roller coaster car running when they could have 2 ultimately). When there are lines, I can imagine that it will take longer to explore the park. Yes a day or maybe a day and a half at most, but no more.
