I was wanting to know if we could use one as well. It makes a difference on if the kids get gift cards or cash to spend. I know DS9 wants to do the create your own bucket where you can pick different ones.
Since we are on the subject, what about design a tee downtown or pick a peral in Epcot? Can they be used there?
I'm pretty sure we used Disney giftcards at the Lego store at DTD. We had gotten some free ones for doing the DVC tour and my kids wanted to spend theirs at Lego. I don't recall there being a problem, but it was a couple of years ago.
I used to work at the DTD Lego store and Yes you can use gift cards and Yes you can charge to your room. You can even ship things back to your resort like you can in the parks (But it takes 2 days not 1). They have a hand held machine with the disney system on it that allows them to take Disney payments.
Thank you for your quick responses. I knew it wasn't a Disney store that's why I wondered. I wanted to give my kids gift cards for souvies and I knew my son would want to spend his there. There seems to be different answers when you search online, but good to know someone has done it recently.
Yes you can. My son used all of his in there in March. We also have a Lego frequent buyer card (? I guess is what it is-hubby got it at Lego store) and he gets points on it. Since shopping at Disney he has $20.00 worth of points to use for future purchases.
