leftover single-day pass still good?

Does anybody know if the single-day passes sold at WDW are good on return trips? We bought three single-day tickets in February (they look like credit cards), and then decided not to visit the park that day. Now we're going back in July, and I'd like to use the tickets. I was assuming they work like the hoppers...but I guess I'd like to know that for sure before I go! Thanks!

Don't bother calling they will tell you that the ticket needs to be run through the card reader at a guest services window. If the pass doesn't have an expiration date on it its still good.

What is guest services? Can you swipe them through the machine at Beach Club or other resort? Thanks!
