This isnt' really about the DPlan so much as CS items, so I am putting it here.

We will have some CS credits..and snacks most likely, left over at the end of our Free Dining stay. After that ends though we will still be there for 3 more days, with no Plan.

Are there any CS items that you can get that will keep for a day or two in the fridge? Like on the last night we can go just about anywhere on property, since we have a car, to use up the leftover credits. I know with my snack credits I can get drinks and snack items and those will all last us.

Will they let me use the CS credits just to get the drink and dessert, but no entree?

You might look at the snack thread. I know uncrustables is on there.

Will you have a fridge? I know you can use the microwave at the resorts.

I know they have pre-made deli type sandwiches packaged up at CR's Tempo Grab 'N Go, that will keep for a few days. They are dated on the package, and I've bought two or three at a time, and put them in the room fridge for late night munchies. Although they have sandwiches at other resort CS locations, in my experience these travel and keep better Since they don't have anything but meat and cheese on them (you pick up the little packets of condiments to use) they don't get soggy or anything. If you like tomato or lettuce or pickles on them, I would take a ziploc baggie and keep the sandwich toppings separate. You could get bags of chips to go with them as well.

Thanks! I will have to look at the sandwiches. I know Pop Century has them and that is where we are staying with the Free Dining...then moving to BWI for the New Year.

A popular place to use up leftover snack credits is Goofy's Candy Shop in Downtown Disney......there are a LOT of items that use snack credits. Many people take them home for little gifts for those left behind, or to bring a little pixie dust to them while they are sad about leaving WDW. I would think that a few ziplock bags tucked into your luggage would go a long way towards keeping these fresher than the packaging that Goofy's would provide though.

Another oft mentioned thing to do with CS is to get stuff to take on the plane with you (you'll still be there, but the majority would be going home). Beach Club Market seems to have a lot of choices, though I've not personally tried any so I can't speak as to longevity.

If you are going to have a fridge you can get personal pizzas and heat them up in the microwave at the food court. We even brought home some of these pizzas from Pop in Sept. and they made it just fine. Of course this depends on how long your flight is as well. We had a 2 hour flight and just made sure that when we went to eat them that we heated them up well. Although even here at home normally when we get take out pizza I do not refrigerate it if we are going to be eating it by the next day and we have never had a problem with it. We used up 28 snack credits our last day at Goofys candy company and the Pop food court. At Pop we got personal size boxes of cookies (they have them on a shelf over the ice cream freezer.) Good luck using them all up. We had 6 counter service credits left our last day as well. There were 4 adults and my son so we used them for dinner on the plane. We just made sure we drank the drinks before going through airport security and got desserts to go such as cookies or brownies.

Does anyone know if and where the BWI has a microwave? They don't have any kind of food court!

Boardwalk bakery is a great place to use up leftover credits. For a CS you get 2 of their huge pastries, 2 drinks and a piece of fruit. All of those will keep.

We also got Earl of Sandwhich meals and stored them in the cooler and ate them as we travelled home. They lasted for 2 meals. (They are huge.) Just be careful which ones you choose because they are all served hot and some of them wouldn't taste good cold. We left Disney at 1pm on Saturday and arrived home at 1am Monday and never bought anymore food. We just ate on the 6 CS and 5 snack credits we left with. We also ate them on Monday at home.

You may have already thought of this, but you do realize that after you check out from your free dining reservation you can use your credits until midnight, right? Depending on how many you have left over, you could use them up that day even though you may have checked in under a new reservation that does not include the DDP.

DH and I had a couple of CS credits left over last time, and I did as other PP mentioned and order sandwiches from CSR to take home with us.

The way thinks worked out 2 weeks ago now, we had some additional CS that we could not use up for lunch so we went to Polly and had some Konga Toadt for breakfast, I was so good went over on our get away day and had another Konga Toast. One other morning we went to Riverside and had their made to order omlet. We did find a way to use up our CS.

You'll be able to use then in the Grab & Go area at your resort for exactly the types of items you want: drink, plus two other items. Just check with the CM there before making your selections.

If you already plan to have leftover credits just use one or two for breakfast. We were able to easily share the big breakfast platters.

Was that just for breakfast with the two drinks or at anytime of the day?
Thanks for the tip!
