I cant find a few items of clothing and I am pretty sure I missed unpacking one of our drawers at AKL. Do you think they'd still have my stuff? Its only been a few days. Im wondering why they didnt call and tell me that they have some of our clothes. They obviously have our contact info.

Has anyone left things in your room and then gotten home, remembered and called? Will they ship things to us? I wouldnt really care except one of the things I forgot is a really nice bathing suit that I just bought and it was over $100.

Do you have any suggestions on who to call? Thanks!

I actually left a jacket behind on a business trip in November of last year. I actually didn't even call, and about two weeks later it showed up in the mail.

That said, I'd call the front desk at the hotel. That is your best bet.

I have had 2 experiences with this. One time they sent me my stuff immediately. Another time at PORiverside, they said they never found my left clothes. I know I left them there.
I know it's Disney but I think it matters who cleans your room and how they deal with it.

My wife left her watch in the safe, unlocked of course. But within about a week someone called to verify our address. I guess it all depends, but it wouldn't hurt to call the hotel and just double check

Call AKL, they will connect you with the appropriate people. If your items were left in the room, they will send the back to you. They do not automatically contact you if you leave something in the room.

My husband dropped his cell in the AKL lobby and we called about it. They didn't find it right away. We got a call a few days later from a friend telling us AKL was calling him trying to locate the owner of the phone. We had the friend's number stored in the phone. AKL was just going down the list until they could find us. It took them a few days to get up with us b/c the battery died on the phone and the cm was tracking down someone on staff with the same phone so he could use the battery. They were really great and mailed the phone back to us.

After a stay at AKL I got a call, I had left my pillow! (I travel with my pillow, it is the only way I can sleep) 2 days later it showed up in my mail box!

Usually they are pretty good about it.

Call the hotel and speak to the front desk, lost and found, and housekeeping.

I travel weekly on business and have left several things, including clothing, in hotels (never at WDW though). Unfortunately, I have had a very low success rate at recovering them. Call as soon as possible though - that's your best bet. I suspect there is a decent chance they may still be in the drawer. I know I never open drawers in my hotel rooms! Perhaps no one has noticed yet.

My son lost his Mickey ears hat at CR during lunch. I was able to retrace our steps to figure that out, so we asked at the restaurant if they had found them (this only after a few hours too). They didnt find them and told me to fill out a report at the front desk. On checkout day we checked again at the front desk (we were staying there) and still no ears. I got home the next day and there was a package from WDW-my sons ears!

Do call the front desk and let them know what you lost. I just read on another thread about someone who left a shirt in her room back in April and WDW recently called asking if the person had lost it.

I had left a piece of luggage that was damaged by the airlines in our room next to the trashcan. We had a message on our machine that we left something in the room and they would be mailing it to us. We got the damaged duffle bag back. So I think they are pretty good about returning stuff.

Definitely call-- I left an Ipod in a room at OKW once-- the mousekeeper turned it into lost and found (I really thought I'd never see that again!!)

One time my son left his favorite pillow in the room. I called and they Fed Exed it to me (it was small). Then, I forgot, quite a bit of clothes (don't know how it happened). I didn't even really realize it. I got a call from the hotel and after I confirmed that the clothes were mine they shipped them right out.

Good luck!

When we drove one year stupid dorks we were left a whole bag of snacks and some souviners. Well we got a box about a week later containing it. My sister has left her watch several times while we were they. They are very good about returning things if you leave them.

we left some toys there when the kids were little and 3 weeks later they were at the house they called a few days after that to see if we got them .we were very suprised they did that.

I just called the resort but the Lost and Found wont be open again until Tuesday, so I will call again then. I hope they have my stuff. I feel so stupid for not double checking that I emptied all the drawers.
