I just got LeCellier for an early dinner for this weekend.   The CM was really surprised and said she hadn't booked that restaurant in months.

However, I currently have a late lunch scheduled at Coral Reef for that same day. We obviously can't do both and I need to cancel either one or the other soon but I'm having a hard time deciding. I have been trying to book Coral Reef for later in the week, but no luck yet.

I know that my DD(9) and DS(6) would like to eat at Coral Reef with the aquarium but DH and I would love to eat at LeCellier. So who wins? We are already doing Princess Storybook Dining, CRT, LTT, & CM.

So which one do I keep??? Do you think Coral Reef will have any openings later in the week next week? Help me decide.

Kids always win, stick with Coral Reef :rotfl2:

I had the same dilema for January, do we grab the LC dinner even tho the kids would not be entertained or do we keep the CR and the kids would be happy? So we are going to CR for dinner in January :rotfl:

Le Cellier.

We just ate at CR in November, and weren't overly impressed. The service was beyond slow, the food was mediocre, and I can't count how many kids ran wild through there. Bumping into people who had tables infront of the aquarium, etc.

I also found it dark, and dingy.

We ate at Coral Reef, and the food was great, but the atmosphere was not great. We got a nice table with a great view, and through our entire dinner we were interuppted and annoyed by people taking pics, trying to squeeze in front of or behind us, kids running around. My drink got spilled by one guy who literally leaned across our table to take pics. Im pretty sure he got amshed potatoes on his clothes. I was quite shocked. The resteraunt could be wonderful if other guests were less rude. I would not want to sit there again. There were some guests who were polite, so all hope is not lost....

Sad though, cuz the food was excellent.

I say the kids have a lot of meals focused on them during this trip and daddy deserves to get to a place he wants too...if they have never been they won't know what they are missing at CR - AND you can see the fish in the Seas exhibit!

my kids LOVE Le Cellier and request to go ( they are steak lovers)

I agree with you. We enjoy Le Cellier with our kids too (they also request to go there :) ).

We did both, but Coral Reef wins hands down with our family. The food is just excellent, and the aquarium keeps the kids busy so you can enjoy a relaxing dinner. I do like them both, though, but if I had to pick it would be Coral Reef! Have fun!

Le Cellier. We've done both for dinner and found them excellent. We did Coral Reef for lunch a few months ago and weren't thrilled.

There's no guarantee that you'll be near the aquarium....

If you asked me which for dinner, we'd probably still go with Le Cellier, but it would be much closer. The kids will love the "Holy Pretzel Bread." (DD's term!)

Le Cellier was designed to remove the guest from the theme park angst -- it's almost sensory deprivation, dark and quieter than most of the restaurants. The food at Le Cellier is better than at Coral Reef. It seems the latter doesn't feel it has to offer good food because people are there for the fish (the ones still swimming).

I had steak at both last trip and the coral reef was better. Service was a little better at Le Cellier but both had really good service. Desert was way better at Coral Reef. We really liked them both but would do Coarl Reef if we had to choose.

We dined at both in Sept. (Our kids are 5 & 6)
I would choose Coral Reef over LeCellier.
We all prefered the atmosphere at Coral Reef. And steak for steak (i know many will not agree) but Coral Reefs was better! And..soup for soup..I prefer the Lobster Soup to the Cheddar Cheese soup.
The service was outstanding at both.
And I also agree with the pp...the deserts were MUCH better at Coral Reef.

The atmosphere at Coral Reef is nice, but the food at Le Cellier is so much better. My boys love Le Cellier - the pretzel bread and the deserts especially. If you are on the dining plan, Le Cellier lets the kids get deserts off the adult menu. The chocoalte moose comes shaped like a moose and the smores snack is really cool for kids. The kids can order shakes as their drinks too. My boys liked Coral Reef, but always ask to go back to Le Cellier.

Hands down without a moment of hesitation Le Cellier!

We had the same dilemna..... we went with Coral Reef. For a few reasons.

1) Kids would enjoy it better
2) We're from Canada and my dh thought it was silly to eat in Canada
3) Menus looked relatively similar
4) it's closer to the entrance so we can get there asap when we come back from our afternoon break.

Good luck!

We're from Canada too but Le Cellier should not be missed if you can get a table!

We've eaten at both and would pick Coral Reef. We were not impressed with LeCellier.

Actually, we will agree with you. DH and I both thought the steak at Coral Reef was better than LeCellier's :confused3
DH is a chef and is not easily impressed, but he really enjoyed his meal at CR.

We've enjoyed steaks at both. However, Le Cellier has one thing that Coral Reef doesn't: Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
