LeCellier - New Menu?

Ate lunch at Le Cellier on Thursday (8-24). They removed the prime rib sandwich from the lunch menu and replaced it with a prime rib BBQ sandwich. It is now on toast with BBQ sauce and coleslaw. Not near as good as the previous, which happened to be my favorite lunch item. The prime rib is more shredded than sliced like it was in the past. Also no more dessert sampler and no full order of maple creme brulee. We ordered the creme brulee sampler (half vanilla and half maple) and the sorbet sampler (chef's choice) for our desserts. I've seen pictures of the shrimp appetizer on the DIS and the shrimp we got didn't look like that. There was no cocktail sauce on the side. It was lightly tossed in it. It tasted good though.

Just a side note - I believe that the CDC has recently issued a suggestion that American restaurants downsize their portions since we are the fattest country in the world.

Does anyone really think that Le Cellier is selling a 10 oz. steak and calling it a 14 oz. steak? I dont think so... It seems to me to be confusion with what was ordered...
Well, no - not unless the poster who ordered it brings a food scale to meals :teeth: No, I'm wondering if the menu HAS changed and that steak is now described as being ten ounces.

To the recent Le Cellier diners: Is the tomato stack still on the appetizer menu?

I had the mushroom fillet which was very good, tender (though I think I should have ordered it medium rare instead of just medium-just some times it comes too rare), the risotto was creamy and delicious.
Thank you SO much for posting, ShayCamp! The mushroom fillet and risotto is my favorite dish there and I was terrified at the thought that it may have been taken off the menu or altered somehow. I'm so relieved. Thanks for the reminder to order it medium-rare -- I tend to forget whether their medium is on the rare side or not.

Now that I know my favorite is still available, I'm very much looking forward to our Candlelight Processional Dinner Package on Christmas Eve.

All restaurants pay attention to wasted food. Whether in Disneyworld or not.

Sometimes though, "wasted" food really isn't wasted, it's left behind because it wasn't that good, it was cold, or just wasn't that person's cup of tea.

Fine downsize the portions and the PRICE!! People forget that there are many NOT on the DP and most of us DO pay fo it.

Oh no!!!! They removed the prime rib sandwich??? That was my absolute favorite! I was actually eating there twice for my next trip because I was going to eat there for dinner for a steak and lunch for the prime rib sandwich! Ok, If I can get anything else, I might change my ADR....
