Thanks for the Memories

I guess my son can invest in a new purple wardrobe now. His Cranberry and yellow was getting sort of worn looking anyway. The black Miami stuff is really shabby. ;)

I think the money and passion spent on professional sports is literally insane, but, hey, I’m also a capitalist, and the market is what it is.

How can Lebron go to LA? Isn't that Ball the next greatest thing? Is La Var going to let Lebron play on the same team? LOL
I am not a big basketball fan, but I do like Lebron.

And this is the first thing I thought of when the notice popped up of the signing. I really do not see Lebron putting up with the Balls’ act for very long.

I'm cool with his move as long as they don't send the Ball family to Cleveland. Cleveland doesn't need anymore problems.

it wont be a sign and trade so Cleve wont get anyhting, but you bring up a good point, LeBron will not let Balls dad suck up the headlines, they will have to send him out

Good. His kids aren't that great for him to be as loud as he is about them.

Lebron dealing with the Ball family should be very entertaining.

As a Pacer fan, I’m glad he’s there....but he’s gonna have a much tougher time getting to finals going through the western conference teams.

I feel bad for Lakers fans, having to wait for other teams superstars (Shaq, Gasol, almost Paul, Howard, James) to sign with them in order for them to be meaningful.

should be a great fight to see who wins the east, I think there are 5 teams ready to make that step Boston, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Indiana and Toronto .Any one of them teams are on the verge to being great, but probably only one will be

I still wont be surprised in they end up with Leonard or more likely DeMarcus Cousin ( not as well known as other superstars but every bit as good) this year. But still when the chips are on the table, same problem, Golden State is one of the best teams to ever play in the NBA . Even thought Cleve will suck for the foreseeable future, I still love to watch Basketball

Right now about 3-4 teams are going to duke it out in the West for that last spot. Each of them would pobably be #4 in the East at this point

Don't worry. I think the Lakers 16 titles will soothe any notion of the sort.

As a Chicago person, I can't hate Golden State. They are essentially the Bulls of the 90's Draft/acquire amazing talent early, then fill in the holes with more talent later, but only adding to your base (although Durant is a bit more significant of an addition than Dennis Rodman in his late 30's was). What the Lakers are hoping to do, as the Rockets did, is build a team through just trades, NBA 2k style. It makes it harder to root for that sort of team in my mind, so I actually found myself rooting for Golden State and Cleveland this past year, as they felt more 'legitimate' despite being loaded.

I think the Bulls did it the hard and smart way. Durant automatically become there best player. Plus without Durant they were 1-1 in championships games against Cleve, and the won they won Love and irving missed the series . But with Durant they are over the top great

Its wine and gold. Wine. ;)
Yeah, my son rolls his eyes when I say stuff like that. I may or may not say it just to annoy him. :teeth:

He texted me a minute ago and said he's moving to LA. I did suggest he at least visit the area first.
