Leaving wednesday for the world..Can't wait. Question about weather.

Hi, we've gone in december in the past. But those there now, I see it shows temps in the 70's during the day, but cooler at night. Is it warm enough during the day fro flip flops/sun dresses? Or light pants a better option? Thanks really trying not to over pack as usual!!!

Weather has been nice.

We have been here two days and not that it helps you at this point, but your clothing plans sound fine. We are finding that sweaters or jackets are needed in evenings depending on the person and breeze factor.

I am pregnant (meaning I am my own furnace) and I have been putting on my long sleeves during rain, boat rides on water (like the ferry) and evenings.

layer layer layer..

DD just got back from 15 days at WDW..

during her visit, the temperature varied from 80 down to freezing, including several days where it never got above 50.

On a few days she was in shorts and a tank top, on other days she wore two fleece jackets plus a rain parka over that, plus she bought a winter hat and gloves (since she didn't bring them - actually, she doesn't own any)...

so....yes, you're going to have to pack more than you do in the summer...there's no way around it.

oh..and she never wore her sandals...she was in gym shoes every day...
and she had two pairs of those, which was lucky, since on the rainy days her shoes got soaked through...

I've been watching the weather, and here's the forecast through Monday....
at Lake Buena Vista, FL from accuweather.

3: H: 80 L: 61 Mostly Sunny
4: H: 79 L: 64 Mostly Sunny
5: H: 80 L: 64 Mostly Sunny and delightful (I've never seen that on an actual weather site!)
6: H: 79 L: 62 Times of Clouds and Sun
7: H: 77 L: 61 Clouds and Sun with a shower
8: H: 75 L: 57 Mostly Sunny

Can you say WOW?

I'm planning on bringing shorts, short sleeve Ts, 1 pair of capris, 2 pairs of thin skinny leg jeans, a very warm hoodie, 2 long sleeve T's and 2 pairs of sneakers. (changing out shoes can help keep your feet refreshed.)

What I'm wearing down - jeans and a long sleeved T and a fleece - it's currently 36 degrees here in NJ. The high will be 43. (weather forecast: Colder with periods of rain, a little snow and sleet early in the day.)

I'm always warm. I don't wear sweaters or anything that heavy because I get all sweaty and overheated. I'd suggest a wind breaker if you are worried about a cold wind.

We leave on 12/11. The weather has turned cold for that week. I wish we were going this week!!!!

Not only is the temperature important there but also the wind. Florida has a lot of flat land and the wind just pours over it from the oceans. We were down there last May and I was surprised at how the wind affected the mild temps!:cool1::thumbsup2 but I would bring a pullover sweatshirt and it wouldn't be a bother.

We leave on 12/12 and looking at the 10 day forecasts today predictions for 12/11 are 70H high/53 low which are close to long term average and certainly does not seem cold to me (especially when compared to 41F/31F forecast here at home).

We were there last week (Thanksgiving) and wore shorts during the day if it was above 65. But at night it got cold and WINDY. We wore jeans, jackets and even gloves. Two nights I wished I had brought ear muffs because of the wind.

We've been in December the last 2 years. During the day, dresses/shorts and flipflops have been fine as long as I brought a sweater along. At night, long pants, closed shoes and warm sweaters/jackets were definitely required.

We were there Sunday and wore shorts. It was very comfortable. You might want a light jacket at night but with all the walking around and people, you could live without it.

Yes, it warmed a 'tad' for that day, but trust me, if you are there when the highs are 60's with the wind blowing, you 'will' need a light jacket!! Very few of us are used to being 'outside' all day, and that's what makes a very big difference - not just dashing from car to store/home/ mailbox, etc. A cloudy day will also add to the chill. Be comfortable, bring things to layer, as noted.

I was at MK this morning and wore jeans and a t-shirt. I wish I had worn shorts. The weather was absolutely beautiful until about 1 pm when it started pouring . Now at 4 it's beautiful and humid again.

We head down on Saturday and I'm mainly planning on jeans and t-shirts most days with fleeces/sweatshirts for layering. Tennis shoes for most of the trip. Maybe flip flops on the days when it is supposed to get into the high 70s.

My DH thinks he is going to be wearing shorts and t-shirts every day......I'm thinking he will probably get cold toward the end of the trip. Of course, we have a dry cold going on up here in the PNW, so I'm sure those 70s are going to feel AMAZING!! :)

I live in PA and will be arriving next week, when those gorgeous 78 days turn to 66. I'm still planning on leggings and a comfy dress or jeans and a tee and flats (I'm also 5 months pregnant and in a weird place with clothes, so that's affecting my clothing choices).

If it were this week I'd be wearing dresses and flats, and probably leggings to ward the chill for evening. We have kids with us and plan to leave the parks right after dark (ie see the lights go on at the castle/Osborne lights, etc) then head out. I'll have jackets for them and they'll also have leggings on with their cute dresses and light sweaters.

Low 60s is still glorious weather for us, especially after a few of the 30 degree days.
