Leaving tomorrow :(

I agree with planning the next trip. More specifically, while it's fresh on your mind, create a list of things that you wanted to do this trip but didn't get around to experiencing. Talk to your family about what you did this trip that could maybe be a possible "skip" for the next trip. Include attractions, tours, dining, non-park things like Disney Springs or mini golf. You could also kick around the idea of returning during a different season--would Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas be a nice change of pace? Be sure this exists somewhere on your computer or on paper where you can review it occasionally before the next trip. :earsboy:

PDD is such a drag.. What helps me is looking forward to planning my next trip! Maybe making a list of things you want to revisit again, things you didn't get a chance to visit and need to make sure you do next time, restaurants you want to try, researching hotels you'd like to stay at.

I also like to read other peoples trip reports/dining reports. It feels like a more personal inside peek of WDW from my home. Plus you also get to learn a lot of cool tips and tricks!

Bring home a snack or two from the parks to enjoy when you're back home or a piece of clothing like PJ's or a hoodie to carry a piece of Disney around with you until next time :earsgirl:

I still haven't re-integrated fully into normal life after being a CM briefly this summer! I tend to spend time on the boards, listen to Disney music and just generally relive the good times! And of course plan my next trip :)

by planning the next one. I find that when I have two trips being planned at once I do to get depressed or sad anymore because I know I will be back.

Did you experience any of the overwhelmed staff, or poor service.....anything different than previous trips. You sound like you enjoyed it, which hasn't been the report of every veteran this week.

What is your take on being there during this busy week?

It was honestly great. I didn't notice poor service or overwhelmed staff at all! It was my boyfriend's first time and he was very impressed. The week was busy but definitely manageable. Thankfully, we had GREAT weather too so that helped

Great weather always helps. Prolonged poor weather brings out the grumpy in everyone. Glad to hear it isn't all doom and gloom.

Oh I just hate having to leave... It's just awful. I hate the bus ride back to the airport.
I start planning the next trip as soon as we get home!! Our upcoming May trip is 11 nights, the longest we've ever stayed. My husband and 26 year-old son will be ready to come home after about 7 nights!! I suppose they will just have to suffer through it!!
They love Disney just not as much as I do!! :thumbsup2

We've been here since Sunday and it's been great. Everyone's been cheerful and the weather's been nearly perfect (if just a bit too chilly in the morning). Tons of babies on the safari, the baby gorillas are just a joy to watch. We're sitting in an almost empty Disney Quest right now - while the girls run around having fun. There was no one on line for the Pirates Of The Careibbran DQ interactive game, so the CM let us stay in the room for another round ...
All around great trip. Two more days and we'll have to head back to the frozen tundra.

We plan a "detox" day or two that happens directly after our Disney trips. We book a hotel somewhere, even if it's in our hometown and enjoy one last bit of no work and no chores. This year we're driving from Houston to Orlando. So we decided to stop in New Orleans for 36 hrs on the way home. That way, when we leave WDW we're looking forward to something still. And it'll be much easier to say goodbye to some generic hotel in New Orleans than beautiful POFQ in Disney!

Sorry your trip is over. Funny how that bus is, has a split personality.... The Magical Express when you are on your way to WDW....and the Tragical Express when it brings you back to MCO to go home. :(

The Tragical Bus...I love it lol

At least I have plans to see friends this weekend and I am looking forward to writing my trip report and spending time on Dis since I just stopped lurking and started posting recently! Thanks everyone. You all make it a little easier to leave WDW :thanks:

Going in, you can thank Disney. Going out, you can blame Mears.

Make a photo book on a photo website and have fun adding captions while the memories are fresh! When it comes give it as a gift to your travel companions or buy 2 copies (one for you to keep too).
