Hi everyone!
My boyfriend and I are leaving for WDW tomorrow :yay:
It will be his first time there! I've been there close to 20 times, so I know what to expect. I planned out an itinerary for us that includes our fastpass+ rides, our dining reservations, and the shows we want to see. Obviously, we will check out other attractions in between our fastpass times but I didn't list those. I wanted to post our itinerary for your advice! I've left the last day free so we can hit the park he enjoyed the most again. Some of the things are things that he picked specifically (Biergarten, Sci-Fi) so I didn't want to say no since it's his first time. Everything is pretty much set, but I want to know if any of you have any advice or tips! We are staying at CBR and so excited :cool1:

Thanks in advance!

On Wednesday I see you have a FP+ for Great Movie Ride. If you have any interest in Rockin Rollercoaster or Toy Story I'd fastpass those instead, their lines will be worse than Great Movie Ride.

As soon as you enter DHS, head to either RnRC or TSMM to ride with a short wait. I agree with @OhioStateBuckeye, FP either of the two rides rather than GMR.

Also, after you use your 3 FPs, head to a kiosk for a 4th FP and so on...

I've never been with the FP+ system before so I'm nervous, especially hearing crowds will be high! I hope it all works out well. I usually go in August so I'm used to crowds.

I would suggest taking the resort bus over to Disney Springs (Downtown Disney) if you weren't already planning to do so. The parking situation is crazy and there is still a lot of construction going on, we took the bus over from the resort and it was SO much easier and stress free. Last year we had an unpleasant experience with traffic/the parking garage and this year we were very pleased with the bus service.

you have some very long days planned!

At Paradiso you need and yes I mean that to make sure to order the nachos and salsa. You can thank me when you get back. :)

Sounds like a wonderful Valentines trip! There is something new at Epcot called Disney Pixar Short Film Festival and it is Very good. So try and see that for sure. It is a Fast Pass Attraction, but you probably won't need a fast pass. Try not to miss it! Also at 8:00 every night at Hollywood Studios there is a very good new Star Wars themed Fireworks show that you could see before Fantasmic. Heed Sunsetbeachgals's advice above about taking a bus, not a car to Disney Springs. It used to be called Downtown Disney, now it's Disney Springs. So look for that on the bus sign. ( I was waiting forever for my friend to meet with me at Disney Springs and the problem was she was looking for a bus that said "Downtown Disney" while 3 Disney Springs Buses came and went! HaHa!) Enjoy your trip!

I think you might like the new Fast Pass+ system in some ways because it helped you make a great plan. In other ways on busy park days you may notice that standby lines are long even on rides that never had long lines. Oh...and see my reply above. Forgot to quote your original post in that one.

Looks good. We'll be in epcot and MK the same days as you (and we also have wishes FP)!
If you see a Caucasian woman with a chinese teenage girl - it's probably me.

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate it.

I'm trying to decide if we should do a mid-day break back at the resort since we are going to the parks early. I feel like since it won't be terribly hot, we could stay in the parks all day and relax somewhere there. Am I being too optimistic? Lol

A mid day break is good but you have to give yourself at least 4 hours for travel and a decent break. Otherwise it's not even worth it because standing while waiting for, and even while riding, a bus x2 is not very restful. Sometimes for a shorter break I like to rest at a nearby resort instead of going back to my disney hotel. As in a nice rest siting in the lobby of the Grand a Floridian!

On the Tues for MK we're just going to stay for the whole day and take it slow in the afternoon. Most days we won't stay late so it's not an issue.

If you're planning on leaving after wishes, use th FP area in front of The Plaza as opposed to the one in front of Casey's corner. The one by the plaza lets you out near the new exit which is much easier to use than trying to wind your way through the crowds on main street.

I would aim to be at MK earlier!
The welcome show is super cute and starts around 8:40-8:45 daily, so I'd aim to be there around 8:30 instead
-I also LOVE the daytime parade, not too sure how your group would like it but it's a top thing for me!

Wear a lime-green shirt so she can recognize you... ;)

If you don't want to travel all the way back to your resort for a break, consider heading to one of the monorail resorts mid-afternoon on your MK day. As already suggested, you could go to the lobby at GF. Or, try Trader Sams at the Poly. It opens at 4:00. You can get a drink and sit on the terrace. It's lovely. Or take a break just sitting on the beach at Poly or GF.

Have a great trip!
