We leave disney tomorrow and have mixed reactions to this trip

Spent majority of it sorting out fire etc and still not sorted dampens holiday really and our view on disney

But we did buy blt! So i guess not dampen too much but we are very wary of the way disney react to things now

Sorry about the fire spoiling things however 'Welcome Home' and congrats on the purchase of DVC at BLT.

Its our home and we love love love it!

Hope you have a smooth trip back.

Nice to meet you briefly

Congrats on the purchase of DVC!

Congratulations on your purchase at BLT, now you can plan your next holiday when you return home.

Have heard sinister stories about the behaviour of Disney before, why are you wary?

i just caught up on your live report - somehow i missed your posts about the fire......that would certainly put a damper on my holiday!!

so sorry you had such a difficult time!

i hope you have a safe and uneventful trip back home!!

I hope you have enough positive things to bring back from your holiday that it covers over the lows. As you said it couldn't have been that bad as you have purchased DVC - something you obviously wouldn't have done if the alarm bells were ringing too loudly :goodvibes

I've just caught up on your trip report, and I'm so sorry to hear about what happened, thank goodness you're all safe and well :grouphug: Congrats on the DVC purchase, hopefully you will have lots more happier times there in the future! :goodvibes

They are very good at avoiding any question you ask and any documents we need they cant give us etc, we have done all the work getting fire records and such. They havent really helped us at all

I love disney and want to bring my girls back and dvc seemed right even though im not happy with them at the moment

What pray tell, is so funny?

It was the way you asked the question. I am still not entirely convinced it was a serious question. I will refrain from adding a laughing smiley this time, butI still find it somewhat amusing.

It sounded so dramatic, when really I don't find anything strange about it at all. I can rattle of several possible (and probable) reasons why the OP is having a hard time getting the information she wants - but as corporate goes, it is exactly what I would have expected. Do I think that she and her family should be having a hard time getting what they need to process their claim? Absolutely not. But I hardly see how that warrants making reference to "sinister" behaviour. :confused3

Sorry to hear that you are still having issues related to the fire.
As others have said I hope you have other wonderful memories of your girl's time in Disney that go some way to making the holiday have some positives. :goodvibes

sin·is·ter [sin-uh-ster]

adjective
1.
threatening or portending evil, harm, or trouble; ominous: a sinister remark.
2. bad, evil, base, or wicked; fell: his sinister purposes.
3. unfortunate; disastrous; unfavorable: a sinister accident.

In my opinion the word sinister in reference to the way Disney handles situations with its guests was probably the wrong word - in fact I can't think of a word that would have been more wrong.
And, as Sarah herself has said in her original post, although she is less than happy with the way they are handling her own problem she is confident enough with them as a company that she has bought into the DVC. :goodvibes

On another note orangetiggs I hope you and your family have a safe trip home as we are all looking forward to your trippie, and seeing pics of how those gorgeous girls of yours enjoyed their first trip to the most magical place on earth
