Good afternoon everyone!!!! :goodvibes

We're leaving tomorrow after church and I can hardly contain my excitement!! My boys will find out right before we leave!!!! It has been real hard to keep it from them. They think we are leaving in 249 more days:rotfl2:

I'm just about packed up, but I always have that fear that I'm going to forget something. YKWIM?

I have to to the dance now.... you all know the one......

:dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

Have fun!! We're doing spring cleaning today to get ready for our trip which we leave for in 1 week. Good luck with the packing, we haven't even started that yet!

Thanks for the replies and well wishes!!! It is getting harder and harder not to spill the beans!!!

So are you gonna tell them after church when you are on the way? If so, I bet the service will seem like it is taking forever!

How do you pack without them knowing??? We have four suitcases and two carry-ons, strollers and cars seats -- can't hide those haha.

Awesome surprise -- I can't wait to hear how they react!

We leave tomorrow at the crack o' dawn. Race ya to the park!

We leave tomorrow around noon. It is only an hour drive from my daughters house. We are enjoying the hotel (The Grand) on Sunday then do the parks Monday and drive home in the evening. We are going with 3 years old twin boys so it won't be a long long day, we will leave before dinner. I have an annual pass so I'll be back there soon.

Heck, I would think packing would be easy after years of being Santa's helper on Christmas Eve! On that one night all kinds of surprises have to be set up while the little ones are asleep.

I'm packing now!! We are leaving the sacramento area about 4am tomorrow to drive down for Mother's Day! I"m so SUPER excited!!! one whole week of disney fun. I caved and told my son earlier in the week... we made a chain, did the countdown. I'm thinking about posting a live trip report for this trip. Since the parks close early most evenings while we are down there. Have a GREAT trip!

Being much more accustomed to WDW than DLR, it is always a jolt when I read about going to the parks one day and going home the next. I understand and appreciate how "local" DLR is to folks in the area, but it is very, very rare that you read about folks doing that for WDW. I'm not sure if the locals just do not go that often, or if they do, just don't write about it. I have to admit that I am jealous of any of you who live near and go to a Disney park for just a weekend getaway.

I love being able to do that. I can afford these one day jaunts but could never afford a week at DW. I can also use airline points now to stay in some hotels so I can go more often. Iknow how lucky I am, believe me. I have tons of neices and nephews in Winnipeg Canada who only get to come once every 5 years or so. That is only because Auntie Sue lives so close.

Auntie Sue! At last I've found you! And you live close to DLR? When can we come to visit????

I told them that I had to clean out all their clothes and pack them up for when the next one fits into them. In the process of doing this I told my oldest son 7 to look for more tubs to put them in and he saw that we don't have anymore so I asked him if we should go to Target and buy more or just store them in suitcases. He didn't want to go to Target so I put them in the suitcases;)

We are telling them after. :goodvibes You are right, it would feel like an extra long service if I told them before.

Thanks! Great idea with the chain. I almost caved, but my husband said don't do it. LOL Enjoy your trip and Happy Mother's Day!!

HAHAHA that is hilarious! I need to make sure I get that one down before my kids get older!

Yay!!! Your packing explanation is the best, ever!

I can only imagine their expressions when you tell them tomorrow, after service. Please have a camera ready for their responses! That should be the first picture of your DL trip! :)
