Just wondering if we'll be able to tell that Charley blew through the World. We'll be on the way to AKL this time tomorrow!

There are still trees and signs down across WDW property. It will not affect your vacation. Look at it as a reminder of the power of Mother Nature.

Very scary, lights going down (and kitchen) in Palios. The next day, except for a few downed trees and lamp posts, all was well. Animal Kingdom now has a new landscape (the tree where the lions hung out is gone, and so are the lions as of Sunday..they'll be back they said) Very few animals around on Sunday.

The lioness was out during one of the late safarias tonight

We went on the safari on Thursday(8/19)...and there were few animals at all! I wonder if any of the animals perished in the storm? A Cm told us that Friday(8/13), they gathered all the animals and were placed in housing areas, but I am assuming that some might have not made it!? I was there during the storm and saw how fierce the winds actually were!

My DBro just returned (8/19) and he felt there was very little signs that Charley blew through except for minor landscape damage. He did say the parks were extremely crowded. There were may Florida residents there since schools had closed for a while and many were there because they had no power in their homes.

Schools are still closed but some will open this weekend. There are still areas where people do not have power.

Mosquitos are now a concern with all the standing water.
