I know when we go in August it rains alot, but only for a short time and the sun always comes right back out. I am not sure about this time of year though. Should I be worried? Has anyone ever had it rain your entire vacation?

Yes, this is the first year I've had it rain my entire trip. Sometimes all day, mostly just in the afternoon, and occasionally just at night. Go anyway, have a great time, and remember that it's still warm even if it's raining.

I don't really mind the rain, I actually kinda prefer it for park going. Bring a poncho and brave it out and you will be rewarded with cooler temperatures (maybe) and smaller crowds.

NHBelle- I'm right along with you. We leave Friday and the forecast doesnt look so good. We went last year at the same time and my DH said he remembers me worrying about the weather forecast but the weather turned out to be beautiful. I just don't want rain everyday all day.

Don't worry about it too much. First of all if any of the forcast says "scattered" showers/t-storms then likely if you do get rain it won't be all day and you might not get any at all. Second, the more long-term the forecast, the less accurate it is.

A number of times I've returned from a vacation with beautiful weather and had people tell me that according to the weather report they had seen at home, we had had a lot of rain.

As someone else mentioned, even if you do get rain, at least it will be warm. We were at WDW last December and had a couple of pretty chilly days of non-stop pouring rain. I have to say, it was none too pleasant but it sure didn't ruin our trip.

I always panic about the forecast before my trips, and it always proves wrong. I heard somewhere that extended forecasts are really sort of a joke--that there is no way to accurately predict weather more than 3 days in advance. Even then, it's not an exact science. My advise is to not worry about it. Just buy some ponchos when you get there and keep them with you at all times. As a matter of fact, a short rainshower can be nice--many people will just leave the parks, and if you wait it out there can be shorter lines. Enjoy your time at WDW! :)

I was in D-Town this time last year and we had very little rain, maybe 3 or 4 times in 3 weeks, and even then they were short, sudden bursts of rain and over and done with in no time at all.

Now, I know that doesn't help with your forecast, but I see it like this :

1/ Can you do anything about the weather ? No.
2/ Are you still going to be on vacation and not working ? Yes.
3/ Is Disney/Orlando still a great place to be come rain or shine ? Yes
4/ Are the parks likely to be quieter if it does rain a lot ? Yes

Ipso facto, dont worry about things you can't influence, and enjoy your vacation regardless !

Have a great time ! :D

On a positive note, we went to WDW from 9/7-9/14. I checked the weather like crazy for the entire week before the trip and weather.com had scattered showers/thunderstorms for EVERY day of our trip. I was so worried. Guess what happened? Not a single drop of rain the entire time we were there. Have hope and carry ponchos. You'll have fun no matter what. Have a great trip.
