Leaving the Park in the Middle of the Day

Is it possible to leave the park in the middle of the day and return? In order to *hopefully* avoid the worst of the HP crowds during Spring Break, I've concocted the following itinerary. Yes or no?

Begin 9:00 am:

Ollivanders
Forbidden Journey
Flight of the Hippogriff
Three Broomsticks (lunch)
Jurassic Park River Adventure
Spiderman
Cat in the Hat​

Leave the park

Return 5:30 pm:

Shopping in WWoHP​

Yes, you can leave early and return. You will need your original tickets to use when you return.

However, returning at 5:30 expecting to get in to WWoHP at 5:30 might be a problem. Depending on crowds, you may have to wait a while to get into the area....

Thanks, that's really good to know. Is there a time in the evening when it tends to clear out, or is it swamped until close? The park closes at 8:00 while I'm there, and I was hoping to do some shopping after the tired kiddos went home.

I was there over President's Day weekend and all three nights we had great success getting in with less than 2 hours to go before park close. Can't say for sure if you will or not, but I like your odds. Even if you get into WWoHP only 30 minutes or an hour before, the shops should remain open after official close for a good 30-45 minutes or so.

ETA: Our first night, Friday Feb 18, we arrived maybe 90 minutes before close and had to wait maybe 10 to get in. This was after we shot around to the Jurassic Park entry into WWoHP--the Lost Continent entry line was long and not moving fast enough....
