Leaving SSR now :( - quick report

What a wonderful weekend !!! SSR is one of my home properties , haven't been there since 08-09. I forgot how absolutely serene and gorgeous this resort really is. Check in was smooth and we were put in Springs 3432. Studio villa , garden view. Very clean villa, quiet 4th floor. The room is starting to show a bit of wear ( as I fully expected ) but nothing terrible. Carpet pretty worn, but clean . Bathroom spotless including grout . Bed was soooooo comfy . The couch was terrible tho. If u sat on it, u sank completely in to fold out. I alerted cast member at check out . We couldn't use couch at all it was that bad so we just watched tv and read in bed . The new pool was awesome and main pool was perfect. Fun activities and always fresh towels. Lots of loungers available at both pools. Grounds immaculate , soooo pretty. Next time I'd like a different section due to the bus situation . Springs being last, we stood quite a few times on way. To parks. Artist QS was great for to go salads and hot kids meals. Overall, I can't wait to return! I'm coming back in July but with DD softball team so I'm stuck with whatever resort the softball organazio decided( I'm guessing AllStars- gasp!!!) but will sneak back to SSR around November . Just loved it.....

Great news that SSR is still as beautiful as you remember. Bad news about the couch. I hope they fix or replace it.

We left SSR this morning too. Our stay was only two nights but we always enjoy our visits. We had a one bedroom in Congress Park and our couch has seen better days also. Our unit was spotless but since it was so windy, many leaves in the hallway. A CM was sweeping them as we were leaving. We did enjoy enjoy the wireless compared to the cables of past. The new channel lineup has not taken place as of 10AM. I love Disney!!!!

Glad you had a great time. We love SSR. I hear lots of complaints about the bus service, but I don't find it any worse than most other resorts and love that the buses are dedicated to SSR -- no resort hopping on the way to the parks.

I believe the rooms at SSR are scheduled to be refurbished over the next year. My guess is that the couch won't be replaced until then, but its good to let management know. Maybe they can fix it so it's usable.

Wireless was pretty spotty in our villa. I had a decent connection Friday , but after that- zero . This trip I didn't need it so no biggie.

You are correct according to a paragraph in the latest Disney Files which we received on Monday. It says the refurbishment is beginning now and will be complete in 2013.
