Leaving June 18,no ME package yet

We're leaving on the 18th, out of Boston. It seems that, for the most part, people are getting their DME a week before, rather than the 21 days. I figure that I'll call tomorrow, Monday, just to be sure they have all our info correct. We have 3 of us arriving at BCV, then 1 leaving there 4 days later and the remaining 2 leaving from POR 5 days after that!!!

We're also leaving on the 18th (from Cleveland) and haven't rec'd anything yet either. We arrive towards evening, so we were thinking about just getting our luggage ourselves to take to the bus. I affraid we won't get our luggage until the next morning if they take it. What time do the rest of you arrive?

Hi, Momof2oh. My son also has autism. And I'm from Youngstown, OH.

We arrive at Orlando from Pittsburgh around 2pm. We're thinking of grabbing our luggage ourselves and tkae it from there to the bus, or if we're not allowed, to hand it to them at that point.

We arrive at MCO around 11:30ish. We'll take our chances with DME getting our bags to us. I'll have those all-important carry-on bags with our stuff for the day!!

We get in around 7:30pm. Do you guys think if we let them take our luggage we will get it that night or will it be the next morning? I can't fit everything we might need for the night/morning in carry on luggage so we need all our luggage.
I guess if the luggage tags don't arrive, that will make my decision easier.

I called Guest Services today and they said the ME tags were going out 10 days before arrival instead of 21. The lady said, "Come on. With or without the tags. We'll get you to your resort."
Okay. So... I'll be seeing you guys there!

I leave on June 10th and still no tags, so they are not sending all of them out 10 days before. When I called they said I may get them by Thurs. June 9. I hope so.

Here's my DME dilemna.

I leave for WDW on Wed. July 6th, however, I am out of town (my entire family) from June 26th through July 2nd. I am also booked through my local (so Cal) AAA travel agent, so this means that if I don't get my tags by Friday, June 24th, I'll only have one day (July 5th) to hopefully get my tags, assuming my TA got them, prior to my departure.

It's nervous time!

HI Folks:

I'm flying out of Hartford, CT on Song. We leave the same day that some are of you are, June 18. I received my ME tags this morning. Of of the information was correct. They came by FedEX. Unfortunatly or not we are not using ME. I've been reading posts all over the wed and its just not for me. We are going with a transportation company. I would call if you don't get them by tomorrow.

We are leaving on Thursday June 9 we still have no tags. I called several times and was assured they had my info even after the flight times changed. At this point I sooo need to get away without any hassels or worries about when my bags are showing up(we arrive at 6:30pm) I booked a towncar the heck with DME. Maybe we'll give it a try in Nov....Hope it works for the rest of you.

We leave on June 20th. My TA says that it's kind of hit or miss whether my tags will come in time. She says Disney is still having some problems in this area. She told us to just collect our own luggage and then go to the ME desk. I'm not going to stress it.

Okay....this is what I've decided to do (as if anyone was out there holding their breath to see what I was doing!!!). Anyway...we leave on Sat., the 18th. As of right now...no tags. I'm not overly concerned. I will have a carry-on, as usual for each person (3 of us) with bathing suits, clean undies/shirt, meds and toiletries. I will also be putting some bright yellow banding of some sort on each of my checked bags. I will also have Winnie-the-Pooh blanket binding on the bags. On the yellow stuff, I will write....DMW.....6/18/05....BCV.....xyz family. Then, take a photo of them before we leave home so I can give it to the CM at MCO. If I don't get my bags for hours, it won't be a huge issue, but maybe this will help them get to BCV a little faster.

We arrive on the 20th from PHL at about 9:30 a.m. No tags yet....will give it another few days.

We leave the 10 and no tags either, we have deceided to not worry about it. From all the postings I have read we will still have our ride and our luggage will be picked up even without the tags. Our TA from Dreams assures me it will all be good. I am going to take a positive attitude and hope for lots of pixie dust...
