The time is finally here!! We are at the new Premier Inn at Gatwick, its very nice here and a bargain at £29 :goodvibes

We are flying in the morning with US airways, stopping off at Charlotte and then onto MCO. We are staying at Pop Century this time, have stayed here before but not for a few years.

See you all later!!

Have the most wonderful and magical time...How lovely to be escaping our weather!

Pop is my favorite. Be sure to walk over the bridge and check out Art of Animation. That is the first thing I plan to do when I visit next spring.

Have a safe trip!!! And no doubt you will have an amazing holiday enjoy pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust::cheer2::cheer2:

Definitely do that, but remember one very important thing if you cross the bridge at dusk or at dawn ... keep your mouth shut ... or you'll soon discover that mosquitoes and midges do not taste good ... :)
there are swarms and swarms over and around the bridge (maybe not in all seasons, but in october there definitiely were loads of them at the bridge

We are at the airport now, we are really early as I was worried that there would be huge queues but we were through check in and security in less than 15 minutes! Oh well more time to hit duty free!! Our flight is on time at the moment and thankfully we are sitting together, I was worried about this as we were unable to check in online. I will try and post some live updates :-)

Good to hear the premier inn was ok, have a smooth flight and a super holiday.

Keep us posted!

Sharon xx

Hope you have a good flight:thumbsup2

It's a lovely sunny morning here in Florida & were just about to hit the shops as done no Xmas shopping yet :rotfl2:

Finally made it here! The flights were great, probably better than Virgin. It was our first time flying with a connection and we found it very tiring but Charlotte airport was very easy to navigate. The queue at MCO for Alamo was horrendous but we got sorted in the end. I'm pleased to say that on our third year of driving for the first time we made it to the hotel without getting lost!! We had s slight issue at one of the toll booths where I had to throw the money into a bin and I kept missing, we left a fortune on the floor! We are in the 50's building (at Pop) on the end nearest Classic Hall which is a great location, our room is very clean and nice. DH is already fast asleep but I think I've gone past the point of tiredness! The plan to is to do Epcot in the morning, if we are up early tho we might go to MK instead :-)

Lol at you missing the toll booth! Have a bit of a Mr Bean comedy sketch going on in my head! Pleased you have arrived safely and the mood is not too sombre after the death on property on Friday, just awful. Enjoy the decorations and the gorgeous Xmas parades!!!

We went to Epcot yesterday, it was EMH and we got there just as it was opening. We stayed till lunchtime and did Soarin, Mission Space, Living with the Land and Captain EO, Test Track was having technical difficulties so we couldn't ride it. :confused3 We went round World Showcase and looked in all of the countries. We went to the Golden Corral for lunch and then went back to Pop, we accidentally went via Hollywood Studios on the way back as I am rubbish at reading the Sat Nav! ::yes:: We went for a quick swim but didn't stay long as the sun started to go down and the temp really drops when it does. We decided to have a little snooze and go to Epcot in the eve, 5 hours later we woke up having missed the foreworks so went off to DTD instead to do a bit of shopping.

Today we were going to the Studios but yet again I took a wrong turn and we ended up at AK instead! We got there at 8am just as it was opening, there were lots of cars there but it wasn't too busy inside. We rode Dinosaur twice, EE three times, the safari, did both walking trails and did Its tough to be a Bug. The wait times were all less than 10 mins, we have seen it busier there when we have been in August. We left at midday by which time there were peopple just pouring in, the wait times were still short, only EE was over 30 mins. Perhaps its quieter than an average Xmas but the last two days we haven't seen any long times at all, getting there early has really paid off.

We are off to MK tomorrow which will probably be horribly busy but hopefully still worth it :thumbsup2

Sounds great - I like the fact you've made the most of your wrong turns :)

We were at MK last Christmas day - we were in for 8.10am and managed to do almost everything (bar a few in Fantasyland) and then watched the parade from Frontierland - managed to get a great spot with about 10 minutes to go.

Have a great Christmas day :)
