Hello all and good day/evening,

We (DW, DD4, DS9) are leaving for Beach Club Villas in October (late).

What should we expect? We are very big fans and our home resort is VWL.

What, in your opinion, are the top 25 things to do, see, hints, tips or tricks for a stay at BCV. It looks awesome from all the photos I have seen on the Disboards so far.

Thank you very much for reading and taking the time to respond.
Sincerely,
Bfrosty :worship:

LOOK FORWARD TO AN AMAZING RESORT AND AN AMAZING TIME. You will enjoy BCV. I loved our 6 nights there in July. The SAB is awesome.......the activities they do there with the kids is so much fun. My kids had a blast......the resort is beautiful and so close to EC and the BW area . I loved every single thing there. Beaches and Cream is right there too. My kids wished BCV was our home resort now. :goodvibes

OH and make sure you talk to ART!!!!!

Beach Club is a very nice and family like resort. They have a terrific pool, Storm Along Bay. It even has a lazy river. You feel sand at the bottom of pool, which is very cool. They sell pool noodles to use, and you can rent tubes for the water. They have a character breakfast in the mornings, you have to make reservations in advance for that. They also have an ice cream place called Beaches and Cream, it is so good. You can take a break from swimming and eat hamburgers or hotdogs and then eat some terrific ice cream and jump right back into the pool. There usually is a wait so sign in at least 30 mins before you want to eat. Also another family fun thing to do is to walk or take boat to the Boardwalk and rent a bike that the whole family rides together, it is so fun! Enjoy, and don't forget to say hi to Art the door greeter at the Beach Club. He is so nice. It really is a nice and friendly resort.

As stated in PP, take advantage of the location of BCV. SAB, Epcot, HS, Fantasia min-golf, Beaches and Cream, Yachtsman Steakhouse, The Boardwalk at night, rent surrey bikes at Boardwalk, Cape May Cafe character breakfast or clambake dinner, activities at SAB.
Try a day at another park, water park, or at SAB, have dinner at above mentioned restaurant, the take international gateway to pop into Epcot just to view Illuminations, walk back to BCV to enjoy a night cap at Beaches and Cream. Really doesn't get ant better than that for us. Have a great time!:)

Look for them having the movies on the beach-every night of the week it's a different movie. Look to try the gelato in the BC Marketplace. And look for a woman wearing a lime green Mickey head-I'll also be there in late October, solo most of the time, but a few days DH will join me.

We love the location and being able to walk to 2 theme parks. The International Gateway at Epcot is only a 5 -10 minute walk from the BCV's and DHS, although longer is also a pleasant 20 -25 minute walk away. So much easier than fighting crowds to board a mode of transportation at the end of the night.
SAB is awesome and will offer something for kids of your ages. The sandy area is great for the little ones and the pool in general is awesome.
There are movies on the beach at night which is also a fun thing with little ones.
It is a great resort and y ou will have a great time. I wish I was going with you.

Cape May Cafe for breakfast - now it is character -but still very good. it is much, much smaller than other buffets - so if something is missing - given them a minute or two - it will be there.

Glad I found this thread - we'll be there for 6 nights in March (03.08.09 - 03.13.09). It will be our 2nd trip as DVC members. Our home resort is SSR so I was thrilled when I was able to switch to BCV and get a 2BR with 2Q's at the 7 month window.

You may also rent boats at the marina. We love the Boardwalk/BC area. We make it part of our schedule to always end up for dinner at one of the WS restaurants. This year it will be French, Moroccan and Japanese.

:thumbsup2

Hey, we leave in 60 days for 8 nights at OKW! We stayed at BCV last year in July and loved it. We had our then 4 & 6 yr old grandkids with us and they loved the sand & slides at SAB. On our last day there we were talking a walk over one of the bridges at the front of the resort and DGS (4) saw some huge turtles swimming. The kids loved that.

Also available for children is the private cruise offered out of the boat rental area. Cost is about $30.00 per child. About 12 children to two adults. Just for kids and well supervised. My daughters love it. They go all around the lake and even go into Epcot. End with lunch. Give us a couple hours to grab a walk and cup of coffee. I beleive it is available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Need reservations.
